ONE GHOST. ONE DEMON. ONE HAUNTED MANOR.

The Ghost

What happens when someone accidentally summons a demon? They die and become a ghost.

I didn’t believe in Heaven or Hell. I thought the pain would stop, and I’d taste sweet oblivion. But I was wrong. Hell does exist. It’s not just a place, but a person too.

His name is Lynx.

Night after night, day after day, I try to escape and break free of the cage I’ve been damned into. I can’t hide from him, and he can’t outrun me. I’m trapped in the manor with the monster who killed me.

The Demon

Be careful who you steal from. They might just come for your soul.

They called me a sinner, then stuck a blade through my heart and cursed my soul to an eternity in flames, turning me into the demon they claimed I was.

For centuries, I suffered and screamed. Made other souls wish they were never born. It was an endless cycle I couldn’t break until one day, she called me forward. A little human who played with someone else’s toys.

I thought I could get rid of her, but I was wrong. I can’t escape her no matter what I do.

At least, I know one thing for certain. Sable looks pretty for a dead thing.

This is a crazy story about a girl that is trying to talk to her sister via a summoning and accidentally summons a demon who instantly kills and she becomes a ghost.
Lynx the demon has a sad back story, as does Sable and after a few days of anger, companionship. and love starts to bond them together.
I have read most of Leigh Rivers' books and this intense, broody, he falls first, kind of man seems to be her type of character and I absolutely love it. 🤩
It was very entertaining.
Narration in a duet style is perfect for this book.

Really good

Leigh Rivers is one of my "auto read" authors and as I don't get as much time to read as I do to listen to books - anything that comes out on audiobook is on my must buy list, I was also really looking forward to this as I'd seen it was a paranormal romance and I wasn't disappointed, although I did feel conflicted as I spent the early parts of the book wishing Sable and Lynx would get their 💩 together already, but the love/hate realtionship, the banter and the "are they actually going to give in and fess up" made the book, so I wouldn't have wanted them to, the story itself was good, I loved Tony, and the duet narration was great,

Really good 4.5 ⭐

I had a already read this book and fell in love with the MCs. It's funny but also emotional.
The audio levelled up the experience by 100%.
Everyone needs to read and listen to this book.

Not all love stories start on the conventional way!

Anything by Leigh Rivers I’ll read and have read everything! This is a fab standalone - the narrator voice for Lynx - OMG😍 swoooonn! Paranormal story which was great to see and read. Good banter and made me laugh out loud in some places. Loved Tidus! HEA too with a bit of a tear jerker- totally recommend + the audio
