Ferrán Varela es un escritor nacido en Barcelona en 1988. Licenciado en derecho, compagina su trabajo en abogacía con su faceta literaria. Tras escribir varios relatos cortos que le valieron otros tantos premios y nominaciones, dio el salto a la novela con La danza del gohut. Sus siguientes obras lo han señalado como uno de los valores en alza de la literatura fantástica española en la actualidad.
