Summary

Die historische Figur starb allerdings nicht wie die Romanfigur als junge Frau.
In einer Nacht des Jahres 1943, während ihres fünften Krieges, wacht Else bei einem jungen Schwerverwundeten. Und als sei sie es, die stirbt, lässt die Neunzigjährige ihr Leben an sich vorbeiziehen.
