Summary

Is "hustle and grind" really the message of the New Way? Is financial freedom really what it's about? Is "living life on our terms" really the summit of this mission? Is the New Way about becoming more successful than our generations before us?

This book is a playful conversation about the new way to live, lead, earn, and give. It is a collection of insights and ideas about how we can, and how we are, changing the world. It's an invitation to the New Superheroes - the people all over the world who give a shit about each other and our earth - to lighten up in our work as game changers. It's a time stamp so that our kids and their kids can hear it and say, "oh, so that's what you were growing through back then."

The New Way is not just about having more money at the end of the month. Success as we'd been taught isn't sufficient. Success to our generation looked and felt completely different to what it looked and felt like to generations before us. The religious separation that our parents' generation know is torturing our hearts. Our planet isn't a place for us to holiday, but a place of permanent residence with the requirement that we nurture and love our Mother Earth as our one collective mother. There is no "top" when it comes to leadership, but instead we're all about the power of tribe. We don't care to move forward at lightning speed, but would rather to stop and go back to our indigenous roots and ensure that ancient wisdoms are never forgotten. Taking care of our brothers and sisters who are without basic necessities is the only way we all win. Play is everything.

We're here to change the world, but we've gotta stop taking it so seriously.

We're here to use our talents and abilities to create epic shit, but we've gotta stop missing the point along the way. It's time for us to thrive like no generation before us ever has.

It's time for us to show the world how good it's really meant to be.

Useful information

I'm enjoying the contents of the book and what she has to say. I was disappointed that listener are expected to also purchase the hard copy to benefit from illustrations...etc. This should have been an attached with the audible.

I must be too old to be hired!

Oh dear! Perhaps I'm not millennial enough but I thought this book was terrible! From Peta Kelly's poor narration of her own work to the work itself which was comprised of list after list interjected with swearing and repeated calls to buy the hard copy. I tried twice (a few months apart) to listen to it but ended up returning it.

Game changer!

Dear PK

THIS! This changed my life! This will change the lives of many homeys in my world and most importantly - this changes the life for my beautiful Earth Child who has already taught me so much. Now I can understand him and his intuitive connection to Source so much better!

This book needs to be translated into all the languages of Mama Earth! Seriously - I’ll do the Danish translation!

PK - SiStar - thank you! Thank you SO much!

Forever grateful,
Milla

Just a very long add for the hard copy

I have mixed feelings about this book. There are so many nuggets in there that are really valuable. But I struggle with two things.

1. The format.
I think I would have loved this as a Ted Talk or a series of YouTube Videos or something along those lines. As a book it just takes itself too seriously - but that might just be me.

2. The continuous encouragement to buy the written version of this book.
I went with the audiobook for this one. I have that now, that's what's happening for me. In every chapter, the author says how much cool stuff is in the written version of this book and encourages me to pick one of those up. Erm, no thanks - I don't need this book twice... Other audiobooks I had that wanted me to look at their graphics, charts, drawings, materials etc directed me to their website where I could go to have a look, not buy their book again. I found this a bit irritating.

So all in all some really great messages that will be useful for a great many people - presented in a way that takes itself far too seriously.

I am halfway through now and I need a break. I'd love to finish it at some point but right now I've had enough for the time being :)

A liberating take on life and work

I absolutely loved this book. Too often, there is a lot of pressure in our industry and socially to be absolutely perfect at all times, never speak your mind, be holier than though and judgy AF. So for me, this book really spoke to me, and I’m allowing myself to be more authentic and more ME on my social media now and in my Network marketing business (I’m with a different brand than Peta, but it all still applies). Thank you Peta for being Human AF

Narcissistic and Self-congratulatory

I could not get through it. I think that the book is well meaning, but trades substance for narcissism.

Eh...

I have been enjoying this book but feel very disappointed that there is no accompanying PDF... With as many journal prompts as there is, I regret buying the audio version.

Millennials UBER ALLES

What would have made Earth Is Hiring better?

From the description, I thought this book was written by a progressive. Instead, it is a millennial having an identity crisis. She actually says her generation's genes are SUPERIOR. The books cover appears like a hippie from the 60's - cool it is a new generation taking up the torch but from her perspective, THEY ARE THE MASTER GENERATION. AGAIN SHE EVEN SAYS THEY ARE EVOLUTION HIGHER WITH SUPERIOR GENES. She is a HYPOCRITE (read the full review.)

Would you ever listen to anything by Peta Kelly again?

NEVER

How could the performance have been better?

Stop her hypocrisy. and self-righteousness.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

She preaches that her tribe (Millenials) will not allow corporations to abuse them. Then she worships STEVE JOBS. This is the guy who made billions exploiting MILLENIALS in CHINA. She talks about building a business so her mom could retire. Yet these same MILLENIALS in CHINA tried to help their parents. They worked making APPLE PRODUCTS at FOXXCOM. They worked long hard hours. Their pay was somewhat higher than in the interior of Chian where they were recruited. These poor MILLENIALS worked like dogs making STEVE JOBS rich. They worked so hard, long hours and stuck with the conflict of their pain or not being able to help their parents just live. The conflict was so intense for these MILLENIALS that they COMMITTED SUICIDE.

The company had to place suicide prevention nets around the barracks they lived in. You see MS. Kelly while you "suffered" with your "divine discontent" - a term she took from Hippie writers, these young Millenials in China suffered under SLAVERY conditions so you could get your TOYS. This is how your HERO Steve Jobs made his billions. They committed SUICIDE so build your TRIBAL IDENTITY on that!

This hippie says POWER TO THE PEOPLE.

Any additional comments?

Do NOT BUY THIS BOOK. If you are a Millenial is your idea of Spiritual Power to be based on EXCLUSION and glorification of Steve Jobs?

MLM propaganda

I would not recommend this book. It’s an ode to MLMs and pyramid schemes under the guise of a progressive generation.

Worst

I was so turned off by the intro. Stupid. Peta comes off as a narcissist. Don’t bother with falseness of this one feeding on millennials.

Thank You Peta!

I loved this book & I found it at the right time. I don’t think everyone is in a place to receive what she’s saying, but if you are it is beautiful.
