Summary

From the bestselling author of Fat Chance and Checking Out comes a hilarious story about giving up…but definitely not giving in.

Kate and Scott’s marriage has always been a lot of fun, with alcohol at the heart of it. After all, what’s more entertaining than a good laugh and a large drink…or six?

But recently, those relaxing drinks have become more crutch than comfort - and the couple have almost forgotten how to talk to each other sober.

Then their teenage daughter Holly uploads a video of their humiliating drunken escapades, which gets picked up by YouTube superstar PinkyPud - and goes horrifyingly viral.

In a last-ditch attempt to prove to the world they’re more than just boozy idiots, Kate and Scott quit alcohol completely. But with Holly’s… er… ‘help’, what begins as a family promise soon escalates into a social media phenomenon: #DryHard!

With the eyes of the Internet upon them, can Kate and Scott stay teetotal - and save their marriage in the process?

Had to push on through to the end

Really annoying narrators, utter nonsense of a story, kept waiting for it to get funny or interesting and it didn't. None of the characters are likeable.

Not bad

A suitable read for those wishing to moderate their own drinking - with some LOL moments. Narration was OK.

Another winner from Nick Spalding

I have grown to adore the two or more person voices of the Nick Spalding's Audible versions of his books. This one made me laugh out loud. Poor people next to me in traffic.

Entertaining story, great performance

Not the quickest or most engaging story but one I’ve enjoyed listening to. Having three actors made a big difference.
I’d recommend it but wouldn’t say it’s a must own.

I have really enjoyed both the story and the performance. This book gave me a giggle or two when I needed it what more can you ask for!

Average

Nothing to say other than "average". Better than a book I could write, but that is why I am not a writer. Narration was better than the story line.

The Premier Inn Thing

My first book by Nick Spalding and certainly not my last. So many laugh out loud moments, don’t listen to it on public transport because you get some funny looks . Enjoy , I’m only halfway through it , says it all x

Flipping Funny

Laughing out loud at inappropriate times inducing book. The situations get more insane but remain credible.

Those poor people. Remarkable character development that stays in character during the worst possible clusters. And clusters abound.

Great book. Spend your credit on this one. I'll have this one on replay soon.

Aggravating

I have never written a review before but I had to about this book. I usually love Nick Spaldings books but this one really got on my nerves. While there are some funny parts to this book, I thought the way the parents indulges their daughter to be very annoying. What child takes you tube stardom over their parents? Maybe I’m just too old but I don’t get it.
