Summary

Tavish was the best boyfriend Kelsey ever had, but seven years ago he disappeared. She coped with her heartbreak by finishing her doctorate in Celtic Artwork, and now her career is taking off.

Except Tavish keeps showing up at her job sites and butting into her business - all the while wearing that stupid sexy kilt. But she's here to see the ruins, not Tavish. So she'll just have to show him who's boss at this site. Because under these cliffs at Dunskey Castle, it is rumored, lies the true ancient palace of the kings of Alba.

Gggrr. How does Tavish know more about it than she does?

3 love stories in one set

Time travel, mystery, intrigue and romance. Each book tells the story of first Tavish, then Seumas, then Tomas. Each one is filled to the brim with madness and mayhem as the men battle some evil druids working very dark magic. All the while they have their hands full getting through their daily lives, jobs and sort out love interests. Loads of reading hours to while away the time. If you love time travel and romance you can't go wrong with this set of books. Enjoy!
Excellent narration by Andrew McDermott.

Triple helping of time travel romance

‘Druid Magic: Dunskey Castle 1-3 (Druids Bidding Book 2)’ collects together three individual Celtic time travel romances which follow on from each other (‘Tavish’, ‘Seumas’ and ‘Tomas’) by Cherise Kelley writing as Jane Stain. The feisty female leads for these books are friends Kelsey, Sasha and Amber.

Kelsey reunites with her previous boyfriend, Tavish, who turns up at the dig and Sasha subsequently meets and forms a relationship with Seumas back in the past. A secret passage at a Scottish archaeological site in the cliff under the ruins of Dunskey Castle is used to "hide" travel between current day and the fourteenth century with the time travel being facilitated by a “magic” ring that Tavish wears. Whilst this has a side benefit of providing Kelsey and Sasha with the means to do “original research", it also unwillingly ropes them into searching for original artefacts in the past to bring back to hand over to modern-day druids. Amber’s former boyfriend and Tavish’s twin, Tomas, is “under the spell” of a modern-day female druid posing as his girlfriend in order to literally control him to go back in time to obtain artefacts and not deviate from that task (like getting side-tracked with an actual girlfriend). Amber has her work cut out trying to break the spell for her happy ending.

OK – this is not in the league of Outlander – not even close. Let’s face it, Diana Gabaldon’s work is a masterpiece and she does a lot of background research for authenticity so I would always want to give her work 10 out 5 if it was possible. However, it doesn’t stop me enjoying other time travel romances such as this one.

This box set has romance, humour, action, adventure and time travel – what’s not to like! Andrew McDermott does a fantastic job with the narration. An easy, entertaining and enjoyable listen.
