Summary

A time to live. A time to die. A time to dream.

Sleep disorders specialist Kennedy Plain has been diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor. When her research subject dies after trying to convince her he has achieved dream-induced time travel and her study is shelved, she enlists herself as a subject to complete her research.

But when she dreams herself into 14th-century England and falls into the hands of Fulke Wynland, a man history has condemned as a murderer, she must not only stay alive long enough to find a way to return to her own time, but prevent Fulke from murdering his young nephews. And yet, the more time she spends with the medieval warrior, the more difficult it is to believe he is capable of committing the heinous crime for which he has been reviled for 600 years.

Baron Fulke Wynland has been granted guardianship of his brother's heirs despite suspicions that he seeks to steal their inheritance. When the king sends a mysterious woman to care for the boys, Fulke is surprised by the lady's hostility toward him - and more surprised to learn she is to be his wife. But when his nephews are abducted, the two must overcome their mutual dislike to discover the boys' fate.

What Fulke never expects is to feel for this woman whose peculiar speech, behavior, and talk of dream travel could see her burned as a witch.

Enjoyed it eventually

Not sure if I would finish this book. I didn't like the narrator. She hardly distinguishes one voice from another, so I couldn't tell who is saying what. Also Kennedy was very annoying in the beginning, because although she sounded like an intelligent women she didn't t act like one. She knows she is in the year 1373 and she doesn't try and hide it at all that she's from another century. She acts like a stupid spoilt brat. Not knowing what a fortnight is or a wet nurse. Or asking for underwear. Doesn't she know anything at all about how it was in those days. Didnt think I could take her anymore. Also the story is really complicated so far, Kennedy was right to say that it's like trying to figure out a rubics cube.
But it got much better as I read on.
I did finish it and enjoyed it very very much. It was a lovely love story. will probably read it again.

Not enough about God compared her other books

wasn't enough about God compared to her other books and was slightly too graphic , not enough left to imagination. lots of crude references too, which are slightly over the top and out of place in a Christian romance

Dream spell

I really enjoyed this book. I have enjoyed all the books by Tamara Leigh. She is a gifted writer and Mary's narration is brilliant as always.
