Summary

JACK

My life ended when I was 16. Not literally - I’m no ghost, I just feel like one. It's a byproduct of losing your pack to a plague that skips you by like you’re not worth the effort. Chose all the good ones and you’re what was left behind. Survivor’s guilt, people call it. I just call it like I see it.

I do a decent job of going through the motions. I’ve got a good reputation as an alpha, and everyone loves to joke about the only vegan alpha in North America. Some days even I’m convinced that this is it. As good as it gets.

Then Dylan Kapernit walks into my shop and blows that theory to hell.

It's like everything was gray and now there’s technicolor. He pops, no matter what corner he tries to hide in. Like my eye can’t help but be drawn to him, just to make sure he’s alright.

There’s something about this widowed father that brings my protective alpha instincts surging to the surface. In ways I’ve forgotten how to handle.

So of course my efforts to make things better only make it all worse. Put Dylan, his whole family in danger. For a second, I forgot about the curse of being me.

But I won’t forget again. And I’ll do whatever it takes to make it right.

To make sure nothing ever threatens the man I love again. Even once I’m gone.

DYLAN

After my mate died, I was sure I would never love again. But I’ve got a track record of being wrong about everything.

I thought Micah and I would grow old together. That one stupid mistake couldn’t destroy my whole world. That I could be enough for my daughter, that I could make up for my past sins. I thought I was doing okay.

I don’t know what I believe in anymore, but I know its not myself. Which is why I can’t tell if Jack Hickam is my redemption or my punishment.

One moment he’s everything I thought I’d never have again, and the next he’s my new greatest mistake, bringing unimaginable danger to my door. My daughter’s door.

Only now it seems I was wrong again, that I turned my back on the one man who just wanted to have it. I don’t know if I’m too late to fix things. I always have been before.

All I know is I still have to try.

This 50,000 word novel about vegan alphas, mpreg, and life after loss comes complete with a HEA no one’s immune to - as long as they’re over 18!

Drawn to a special story

This is a very strong story . First I heard from the authors . The narrator Jack Calihan is a loved voice I can listen to . What happens when Dylan is missing someone special. Dylan Always thinks of his daughter but he knows that being the Dylan can’t be with who he wants to be with. Dylan is hiding something also .
Jack works in a tattoo parlour, he and his mates each have a specialty. Even though Jack isn’t the Alpha everyone treats his as one . You need to get this and see what explosive of feelings happen when Jack and Dylan meet .

Jack performance was great. His voice is smooth and clear. He played all the characters great .
These are my own thoughts and I’m reviewing this as part of audio book obsession

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Mhmm....yum!

This book was hot. From the words written to the voice saying them. Though I did think the narration was monotone in a few spots. Still, I enjoyed every second of this book. That suspense! Woah!

Drawn to You

The narration by Jack Calihan was so well done. He has a deep clear voice that is a dream to listen to.

Note: it is a M/M, Make Pregnancy, Paranormal-Shifter book.

This was my first book by Preston Walker & Liam Kingsley. I have read two MPreg books in the past and did not really enjoy them as there was a lack of actual storyline and It felt like there was a rush to meet the criteria for the genre instead of pacing the story. The same can not be said for Drawn to you. This book had a lot of drama and angst. I definitely pulled me in from the beginning. Without spoiling the ending I feel like it all worked out a bit too conveniently for my liking which was the only big complaint I have about the story.

Brilliant storyline

I loved this book. It had a different angle than most other shifter books I’ve read. It was more about the characters than the shifting. Great chemistry and loveable characters. Great narration from Jack.

Good Shifter Romance

This was a decent story about Jack, a vegan alpha, who lost his pack to plague when he was just 16. Dylan walks into his shop and all bets are off. Jack is drawn to him and falls in love. Dylan didn’t think he would ever love again after he lost his mate/husband and child. But he was wrong. I felt that both main characters were very likeable. The story moves along at a great pace.

Jack Calihan brings this story to life. He is an outstanding narrator. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

cute romance

the big bad vegan aloha and the single dad florist have both lost family and suffer survivors guilt, blaming themselves for certain things and even though they have a great connection and great chemistry, that fear, and guilt, and medical issues, all gets in the way of their future.

they're a great couple and I like them together but their time apart is frustrating. I'm glad they get their HEA.

Losses in their past and hope for the future

Jack and Dylan both lost people important to them. Their meeting and subsequent life experiences take them on a journey to love and happiness. I had previously read the book but Jack Calihan brought the story to life with his narration and character voices. I highly recommend this audio book.

love, loss and a HEA

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? good pace, well developed characters and an interesting story. I liked that Dylan, despite what he's been through is still a strong Omega and able to smooth Jack's sharp edges.

Unimaginable heartbreak has touched the lives of both Jack and Dylan. Though complete opposites there is an instant spark between them, but Jack carries a secret. Will the consequences of Jack's actions be enough to tear their fledgling relationship apart?

Narrator comment: Jack Calihan has done a great job narrating Drawn to You. He nailed the voices and personalities of Jack and Dylan and bought them to life, I had no problem distinguishing the characters and felt the emotions of the story to be completely immersed in the audio experience.

Draws you in from page one

The collaboration by these two Authors has given us a book that is a phenol listening experience! We have the heart felt tremendous loss of the pack, Then the loneliness as Jack meanders through his daily routines in the Tattoo Shop. When in walks Dylan and Jack see's bright lights, stars, and his heart flutters for the first time ever. Maybe...just maybe... This is a wonderfully written love story, dealing with tremendous loss of family and pack,... loss of lover.... Finding new family.... This book was a truly wonderful listening experience. While the narration by Mr. Calihan made for a much more enjoyable experience. An avid listener/reader in Rock Tavern, NY.

Puppy love

Ok, this might be a long review with spoilers. I’ll separate this into a few parts trying to give review in general then the spoilers as to why I reviewed it that way. Here we go.

Story overview: This was a decent story. Worth a read or listen in this case.

*SPOILERS* I think the big reason I didn’t love this is because the angst wasn’t resonating with me. The Omega lost both his husband and a child. He seemed more upset about his lost husband then his child? Seemed like maybe the child may have been added later? He almost seemed a second ‘hey, let’s add more loss’ for story progression. I had a hard time with it after this was revealed.

Performance: This was on point. The reading was good and enjoyable. I would listen to this performer again.

Overall: I would read or listen to both the author and performer again. If you enjoy shifter mpreg this is a decent story. I haven’t read the book but the audio could use a warning/disclaimer about the *see spoilers*
