Summary

Bradley Anderson, known as Dr. Sadist, is a master of torture and a veteran director of snuff films at Deep Red Pictures - a studio owned by a sadistic entrepreneur, Mr. Snuff. He is paid handsomely for his work, he owns an expensive, secluded home, and he lives with a loving family. The problem? He loves his family, and he can’t stop his once-buried conscience from reawakening.

When he hesitates to murder a group of trespassing teenagers at Deep Red Pictures, Bradley is targeted by his employer and his employees. He is attacked in the most brutal way possible, and his life is destroyed. But he survives. And he’s ready to exact his revenge.

From the author of Mr. Snuff and Grandfather’s House, Jon Athan brings you into a criminal underworld full of opportunity, lust, and extreme violence. Are you ready to star in your own movie?

An exercise in hypocrisy!

Bradley Anderson, a director of snuff films loses everything and everybody in a moment of senseless violence. Senseless violence; this book is all about senseless violence. I thought of stopping the audio several times, but I asked for this, and I owe the author a review. I realize this horror exists in the real world but it’s extremely difficult to face it. Am I to empathize with Bradley’s revenge? As far as I’m concerned, Bradley received less than he deserved after a life of debauchery, terror, and murder. I have only sympathy for Bradley’s family. Lastly, how do I rate this? Do I revel in the graphic violence and praise the author for his literary prowess? I cannot. Sadistically Good!

I found this book much more entertaining than I thought I initially would. Does that make me sadistic? This book by far has the most gruesome and messed up characters that I have ever read about. Bradley is a horrible peraon who does horrible things to people for money. Year somehow you get lost while he is running from the men he worked with and forget that he is still a bad person. Lesser of Evils I guess. He doesn't want to kill children and that's what pushes him to the edge.

I can't wait to read more from this author. I was hooked once I started listening and couldnt stop till it was over. I highly recommend this book , especially if you are looking for something in a different mind of genre. Just know that it is graphic!

Not a bad extreme tale...

I was unaware that it was book 3 of 4 in the Snuff Network series and it ended with a pretty big cliffhanger that I was not expecting. I’m not sure how I felt about the 10 minute author commercial after the story either. I guess it’s no different than a book that has a ton of excerpts from other works, but since there was time remaining on the audiobook I figured it would get wrapped up somehow and then it was over and the commercial started. *End whiny reader rant.*

Anyway, the story wasn’t bad. It was a bit elementary in spots and predictable in others. It appeared to be extreme just for the sake of extreme and not really a story or character driven piece. (Not that I was really expecting that.) It was entertaining enough, however, and good for what it was. I really wanted to like it more. The narration was ok, as well, but may have been hurt by some of the choppy dialog and action. 2.5 Stars rounded up...

Totally Insane

I totally enjoyed the book with its insane torture, gross and bloody with some sexual situations. It is for readers that are not faint of heart and enjoy true horror especially with the old sickly lady. This is the 1st I listened to but read a couple of his book and he is sick! Only complaints left you wondering about Bradley and have to wait for next book. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you!
