Summary

Bellissimo Resort and Casino Super Spy Davis Way knows three things: Cooking isn’t a prerequisite for a happy marriage, don’t trust men who look like David Hasselhoff, and money doesn’t grow on Christmas trees. None of which help when a storm hits the Gulf a week before the most anticipated event in Bellissimo history: the Strike It Rich Sweepstakes. Securing the guests, staff, and property might take a stray bullet. Or two. Bellissimo Resort and Casino Super Spy Davis Way has three problems: She’s desperate to change her marital status, she has a new boss who speaks in hashtags, and Bianca Sanders has confiscated her clothes. All of which bring on a headache hot enough to spark a fire. Solving her problems means stealing a car. From a dingbat lawyer. Bellissimo Resort and Casino Super Spy Davis Way has three goals: Keep the Sanders family out of prison, regain her footing in her relationship, and find the genius who wrote the software for future gaming. One of which, the manhunt one, is iffy. Because when Alabama hides someone, they hide them good. Double Strike. A VIP invitation to an extraordinary high-stakes gaming event, as thieves, feds, dance instructors, shady bankers, kidnappers, and gold waiters go all in.

Amber Benson IS Davis Way

Another excellent addition to the series and narrator Amber Benson takes these books to the next level. Her voices are fantastic! I smiled almost the whole time I listened partly due to the witty writing and partly due to the delivery. Archer and Benson make a great team! Can't wait for the next one.

Double Win!

Once again David Way (or Davis....depending on Bianca) strikes again. If you like sarcasm, improbable situations and over-the-top scenes than this is the mystery for you.

Good read. A lot like Miss Fortune series

The story is cute & fun. The characters are very likeable. The narration is done very well. The only drawback about the stories I can find is that sometimes the transition from one point of the story to another is very abrupt & can take me off guard & confuse me as it doesn't pertain to the previous sentence so I have to rewind & re listen to make sure I didn't miss something. I'm not sure if this is due to the narration or just how the book was wrote as I've never read it. But overall, it's a great series.

Can't get enough of these characters!

I love Davis Way's humor, antics, self recrimination, and reflection. The characters really interact well together. Each have their strengths, quirks and weaknesses that make a good unit and funny stories. I'm really enjoying these, and finding myself caught up in their world. Wondering what will happen next.

hashtag

pretty sure Davis dad didn't talk like this in the last book.
all the hashtags were a little irritating, but fit the story. I don't know how she has so many stories going at one time & meshes them all together.

Best author...Double Strike has all the elements of a great story

I wait for new books by Gretchen Archer. Her writing is skillful, interesting, hilarious at times, and always filled with characters who we come to love. Or hate. Or, in the case of Davis' ex ex mother in law, love to hate.

So funny !!

I love this book and love Gretchen Archer. Plenty of snappy AND genius humor. Clever plot with plenty of twists. Smart heroine with other well developed characters. Audio performance is fabulous with so many different voices done by one skillful and talented person, Amber Benson. Excellent in every way,
