Summary

You always remember your first love. Don't you?

It began with four words.

I love your laugh. x

But that was 12 years ago. It really began the day Georgina was fired from The Worst Restaurant in Sheffield (TripAdvisor) and found The Worst Boyfriend in the World (Georgina's best friends) in bed with someone else.

So when her new boss, Lucas McCarthy, turns out to be the boy who wrote those words to her all that time ago, it feels like the start of something.

The only problem? He doesn't seem to remember Georgina at all.

stick with it

although it took a while to get into it, due the bluntness of the main character, by the end I was crying and rooting for everything to work out. I really loved seeing the character development.

Not just a Simple Minds classic ...

This book was especially brilliant for myself as I knew all the places referred to in it . Coming from Sheffield I could relate totally. I enjoyed it while trudging hours at the gym as it made the hours fly by . I think it would relate to anyone from the ages of 19 to 70 !! . It would make excellent holiday listening .

Loved it! But...

Just didn’t have enough story! I’ve loved Mhairi other books and pre ordered this book because of that and looked forward to it. I did enjoyed it but the twist didn’t flow enough for the story, it just appeared, made sense but made you wondered that you missed a chunk. It was beautifully written and lots of humour but really lacked a good story. Was a bit of a disappointment ☹️

Really enjoyable

Over all a great listen, the story hit a good balance of realistic and interesting. The protagonist was not perfect but likeable, the romance was good and had a nice build up. Very entertaining and enjoyable, would definitely recommend

Loved this

This book is very funny and unputdownable! It had an amazing twist just when you imagine you know what's happening and takes you back to familiar times from when you were younger.
Would highly recommend this
