Summary
Penny has big dreams for her wedding day. When Mark finally pops the question, it’s the best moment of her life. Until Penny checks her wedding fund and is horrified to discover that she’s somehow gambled away £10,000 playing online bingo!

Emotionally investing
Very funny and great story. Characters are realistic and well done. Great read. Would recommend for a light hearted read.

Really enjoyable lighthearted read/listen
Not my usual genre at all but I was looking through the free listens and for some reason this appealed.
The narrator was good but the different characters voices for funny. Not a problem they made me smile.
Wouldn't hesitate to listen to another by Anna Bell.

Fun story
This was a thoroughly entertaining audiobook. Penny digging a deeper and deeper hole for herself…( which makes you want to shout just tell him) . Then again towards the end when Mark is being so pig headed.
But really enjoying story.

An easy listen
Not sure about the variety of voices.. a little off putting and some sound really quite disturbing! But I love the story line.. an easy listen.. a good background story when driving.

I loved it! 4🌟🌟🌟🌟
What a fantastic refreshing story, I loved it because it was different and funny. I was gripped from the first chapter, it was so easy to listen too. I like a good love story especially with a granny chucked in for good measure 😂
Anna Bell did a great job writing this and she has written 2 more in this series following 'Penny' which I will start now as I am really excited to listen to them both.
The narrator Penelope Rawlins was great at narrating the actual story and the character of 'Penny' and 'Nanny Violet' BUT she couldn't voice male characters, they sounded awful plus she made her girl pals sound like blokes, so that did ruin the performance, hence I took a star away.
I am lucky that this listen is in the 'Plus Catalogue' and so are the other 2 books.

Interesting take on a story
I didn’t know what to expect from the story, but I was really surprised as it was an interesting take on the storyline. I thought it was done with a mixture of humour, realisation and at the working out what is really important in life.
