Summary

It takes the greatest love to overcome the toughest adversity.

Gabi is footloose and fancy-free, floating through life and one-night stands. When her grandmother announces she’s returning to Spain and asks Gabi to go with her, Gabi happily agrees. A fresh start might be just what she needs to find direction.

Aisha is struggling against the expectations of her family to follow their cultural traditions and marry. She longs to be free to love a woman. She expresses her hidden desires and passion through poetry and flamenco dancing on the streets of Granada.

On her first night in Spain, Gabi is immediately smitten by Aisha’s sensuous dance. And Aisha becomes swept up in the wonderful possibilities of falling in love and finally being her true self. As Gabi is drawn into Aisha's world and discovers secrets that her grandmother has harboured over the years, how can they ensure that history does not repeat itself?

wonderful

love this so much, secrets of past love, forbidden love in tight community, but mostly of first love and experience, being brave to follow your heart and not parental pressure, to be yourself.
superbly written and lovely narration
a heartwarming tale I will cherish listening to again.

What a glorious book!

Once again Emma Nichols with Jessica Jeffries produce a beautiful heartfelt story about love and bravery... gah! I was desperately worried for the two of them and so many feelings!! The array of supporting charaters played their part expertly as the story unfolded. Another great novel, loved it.

...oh please tell me little Marta was ok in the end..?
