Summary

They called it a 'walk away'. The car abandoned miles from home on a stormy night. The note found at a nearby hotel. The shattered family that couldn't be put back together. It happens all the time, they said. Women disappear, desperate to leave their lives behind and start over.

But is that what really happened to Molly Clarke?

For Molly, the night she disappears begins with a storm, running out of gas, and a man with a truck who offers her a ride to town. The man is not alone - with him is a beautiful little girl who reminds her of the daughter she lost five years ago. It feels like a sign. It feels safe. And Molly is overcome with the desire to be home, back with her family - no matter how broken it has become. She accepts the ride.

But when the doors close, locking shut, Molly begins to suspect that she has made a terrible mistake.

This book had my heart thumping!

Molly Clark's luck ran out years ago and she's about to have the worst 17 days of her life. Join her in this thrilling book that takes you on twists and turns you simply couldn't make up.
My first Wendy Walker novel and it most certainly won't be my last.
Well done.

Liked the twists

Enjoyed it and couldn't wait to finish it. Some bits made me gasp. Lots of strong female characters.

Really enjoyed this and had me wanting to know more!

Narrator THERESE PLUMMER was BRILLIANT AMAZING FABULOUS!👏🏽💯😁 she made this book even better so a huge well done to her!👏🏽 I would definitely look for more books from WENDY WALKER now as I really enjoyed this. It keeps you wanting to listen to more to find out what happens? Im SO fussy and I struggle to get books to grip me so this was a good book! It has a few turns etc but not in a thriller way but it does have a few twists that are good🤗 thank you therese, wendy and audible for another great book!💯👏🏽🤗😁xxxxxxxxx

Great classic thriller

This was a great listen a real twisty thriller that got darker as it unfolded. I enjoyed the dual aspect of the mother and daughter telling their own sides of the story in a parallel timeline. A very good thriller with a twist.
