Summary

The global number one best-seller

The brilliant new thriller from the international best-selling author of Home and Fool Me Once. Mistaken identities, dark family secrets and a murderous conspiracy lie at the heart of this gripping new best-seller.

A small town is hiding big secrets....

Fifteen years ago in New Jersey, a teenage boy and girl were found dead. Most people concluded it was a tragic suicide pact. The dead boy's brother, Nap Dumas, did not. Now Nap is a cop - but he's a cop who plays by his own rules, and who has never made peace with his past.

And when the past comes back to haunt him, Nap discovers secrets can kill....

Critic reviews

"The modern master of the hook and plot twist, luring you in on the first page only to shock you on the last." (Dan Brown)
"Harlan Coben is a folk poet of the suburbs and his well-tuned new mystery, Don't Let Go shows why... this kind of writing is what we call poetry." ( New York Times)

Coben continues to deliver.

Harlan Coben is one of my favourite authors. This is another fast paced, entertaining reads with one hell of a twist. You won't be disappointed.

The plot was interesting and easy to follow. I liked the characters and the relationships and dialogue.

too violent, normally his books are not this much

shame it had to be more violent than usual. I like how he hasn't been in his other books.

Very slow

i adore Harlan Coban usually, but this dragged on a bit - looping conversations from characters i was not made to care about. i persevered, hoping the ending would redeem itself , clever twist but over all....MEH

Good story

Good story with some turns and tension but in my opinion it's let down by the narration. I wasn't gripped by Coben's style which I found patronising at times and often felt I wanted to fast-forward parts, though this might have to do with the narrator. This book might appeal to most people.

Overall good

Overall it was a good book. Lots of twists and turns. Parts of the story were a little predictable towards the end. Still enjoyable.

Did not enjoy

Usually like books from Harlan however found the lead character annoying and translated to narration which was irritating to me

Found the whole story to be weak and certainly no where up to the standard of what I have become to expect from Harlan coban

Terrible story.

Dull and tedious. Long winded and basic plot. Very disappointed. The plot was un enticing and overplayed.

Some might not ...

... love this book as much as I did. You see I came from the same place the writer lives in now, and describes in detail, and it brings back memories.

I have been gone from there for almost 56 years and only been back there three or four times. So I like hearing how so little has changed.

The story is good with an ending I didn’t even come close to guessing and I’m usually good at guessing endings or who did it. So I guess even if I didn’t come from New Jersey I still would have loved this book.

Fantastic twist

What a twist I really did not see it coming until part way through the last chapter. Harlan Cohen is one of my go to authors when I need to be challenged.
