Moving and sometimes hilarious story of a medical career, a life and a diagnosis. Revealing insight into life as a junior doctor and GP. Would recommend this book.

This is a very honest and personal account of what it is to be on both sides of the healthcare system.

Clara describes her (often funny) journey to becoming a junior doctor and GP, her subsequent diagnosis of MS and the difficult personal journey she then has to face as a patient. She folds the two narratives together beautifully and tells her story with honesty, compassion, insight and warmth. It made me laugh and also moved me to tears, but left me feeling remarkably uplifted and inspired.

A highly recommended listen - made all the more compelling as it's narrated by Clara.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook and felt very connected to the authors journey as a fellow GP. I may not have taken a step back because of a diagnosis myself, but I can empathise and understand the familiar journey we go on as GPs when you see people you want to help, but are compromised by time and resources.
I hope Clara finds meaning in everything she chooses to do next.

A beautifully written and powerful insight into living with MS

This is an amazing book that I couldn't put down since I opened it 2 days prior. It had me gripped and interested throughout and a lot of Clara's stories resonated with experiences I went through in life. The compassion and care is next to none and I would be privileged to have had Clara as my doctor in a previous life.
