Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Do Not Disturb by Claire Douglas, read by Hannah Daniel.

Could your dream home be your worst nightmare?

After what happened in London, Kirsty needs a fresh start with her family.

And running a guesthouse in the Welsh mountains sounds idyllic.

But then their first guest arrives.

Selena is the last person Kirsty wants to see.

It's 17 years since she tore everything apart.

Why has she chosen now to walk back into Kirsty's life?

Is Selena running from something too?

Or is there an even darker reason for her visit?

Because Kirsty knows that once you invite trouble into your home, it can be murder getting rid of it....

Pretty good thriller

I enjoyed this but not as much as others by the same author.
Everyone was awake that night though so keep guessing about who dunnit right until the end!

Far too many bumps in the night!

Boring boring, badly written (too many sentences starting ‘suddenly’) and far too long when it was perfectly obvious what had happened. Annoying central character too

Full of Twists & Turns

Loved it & almost finished in one sitting.
I was hooked from the beginning & would never have guessed the twist at the end.
Claire Douglas is a master story teller & doesn't disappoint!

Highly Recommend

Holding my head in shame while writing this, because I have to admit this is the first book that I have read by the author, and it sure as hell won’t be my last!

The author takes us on a creepy but also very eerie journey with this story when we meet Kirsty and her family who move from London to have a fresh start running a guesthouse what Kirsty doesn’t expect is for her first guest is someone that she hasn’t seen for 17 years….and that’s just the start.

I found myself tangled in a web of lies and secrets not knowing who to trust.

With an OMG opening I was well and truly hooked, This is one very intriguing story that will certainly keep you guessing until the end. Just when I thought I had it all worked out the author throws you off the path by throwing a twist that I didn’t see coming.

Although I found the story slower paced in parts compared to THAT opening, it never ruined my enjoyment of the story.

For some strange reason I thought this was going to be a your normal domestic noir…..How wrong was I! This is without a doubt a suspense mystery, dropping clues out throughout. While the reader is trying to piece together the puzzle. This is a proper Who-Dunn-It book.

I am looking forward to reading more books by the author, with this being a very addictive atmospheric read. Which I highly recommend.

Dedicated reader !!!

This is my second venture into Clare Douglas books and it did not disappoint. Beautifully read with a lilting welsh accent. Difficult to put down and now onto the next one.

The most annoying main character

Might have been better had Kirsty not been the most self centred, pious character

Really enjoyed it!

Great story! Loved the twists and turns.

Found the main character a bit whingey, not sure if this was the narrators voice or the character itself!

Was gripped at the end though!

Run of the mill

Ordinary murder in the spooky guesthouse novel.
Listenable, but no characterisation or feeling for the landscape in which the story is set. Passes a few dull hours without disturbing your equilibrium.
