MY CHILD HAS BEEN TAKEN.
AND I’VE BEEN GIVEN A CHOICE . . .
KILL A PATIENT ON THE OPERATING TABLE
OR LOSE MY SON FOREVER.

The man lies on the table in front of me.
As a surgeon, it’s my job to save him.
As a mother, I know I must kill him.
You might think that I’m a monster.
But there really is only one choice.
I must get away with murder.
Or I will never see my son again.

I’VE SAVED MANY LIVES.
WOULD YOU TRUST ME WITH YOURS?

Decent story but I found the ‘twists and turns’ quite improbable and predictable. I actually read the first half and listened to the second half and preferred the former.

It’s okay

Enjoyed reading this but was happy to have finished it. The plot was predictable from the onset.

Predictable

This story was rather improbable and unrealistic. E.g. after a triple bypass graft a patient bundled into a van and taken to somewhere without any medical backup or follow up!? I also hate the pandering to an American audience- surgeons in the UK are not titled ‘Dr’ but Mr or Ms. Homicide although existing in English is a term rarely used in the UK. Motorway service stations do not have ‘bathrooms’ - they have toilets (and maybe a shower area). Please - English books should be written and read in English.

Quite Good but not very

I initially bought the book, and was so dug in I had to get the audiobook so I could listen while I was in the gym & walking the dog. Literally couldn’t put it down!

Fantastic listen/read

This book kept me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning, there is not a boring part in it. Furthermore, with the audiobook being voiced by 3 people (one per character perspective), really made the book come to life. I reccommend to anyone considering reading/listening to this.

Truly captivating
