The narrators did an incredible job of bringing this beautiful story to life. The author’s writing was sublime (anyone who’s read the book will get this reference!!). Romantic, mournful and utterly hopeful. I cannot wait for the sequel. One of my favourite reads of 2023.

This is wonderfully written and good paced. The romance is sweet and the intrigue is thought through. This is a very hyped up book and I can see why. It is written like a classic with the allure of a fantasy romance mystery. I do however think it a bit predictable and at times obvious. It brought a bit of eye-roll frustration to me while reading. Not the good kind. BUT, Overall a good book especially for teen audiences and maybe that is why I don’t find it spectacular, I’m not a teen.

I really loved the gentleness of this book. The actors were great and story is brilliant I can’t wait for the next book.
I am going to read it as well.

Omg where do I start!? The voice actors really did this book a good'en. Beautiful accents that really complimented the main characters. The book itself is just stunning. I found it hard not to love the characters and the world Rebecca has created. It's like a World War cross with a Fantasy World, I could visualise everything so perfectly. Now I don't normally go for YA genre but this book blew me away, it hooks you straight away, brilliantly written with mature characters and the romance is just so lovely and natural to read, my heart aches for them. The banter between them was top notch. Loved it. Loved every moment of this. I'm jumping straight onto book 2!!!

This was one of my favourite books of the year and wonderfully read! The performances were amazing and I was thoroughly engaged the whole way through.
