Powerful Lessons for your Spiritual Walk

Would you listen to Disciplines of a Godly Man again? Why?

This is my second time listening to this book. The huge outpouring of information and biblical instruction makes this a must listen to again and again.

What did you like best about this story?

The humbleness and transparency of the author and biblical foundation with real word scenarios brought me personally to the story and showed me true areas that I could relate to in a positive and uplifting maner. Helping me attain a new insight on my own shortcomings and corrective thought processes to grown in my discipline,

Which scene was your favorite?

Chapter 9 Discipline of Worship, This is a area that I have struggled to worship publicly and this chapter really opened my eyes to not the obligation of worship but in fact it should be my privilege and honor to worship at all time. John 4:23 what God desires of me is my Worship.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Too many to list at this time.

I would recommend to anyone

This book presented basic principles of being a Godly man. As a beginner in this area, it presented many things that I needed to consider and adjust in my life as a father and in my obedience to God's will. I would recommend it to anyone.

Just use common sense, or Biblically extreme

I did not find this book inspiring, interesting, or helpful in the slightest. I read to the end just to give it the benefit of the doubt, but by the end my opinion was unchanged.

The book can be boiled down to: recognize the people around you, be nice to them, and pray for them.

The book is very generic, with very generic advice in most cases, and rather extreme statements in other cases (e.g., you are subbing if you don’t pray for your wife. While I believe that a good Christian man ought to pray for his wife regularly, I do not see the Biblical demand the author calls for).

Wish I could get the 8 hours of my life back so I could read a book that is actually useful. Plenty of good Christian books with recommendations worth considering and implementing. This book is not one of them.
