Single mom Mia has a problem. Her new landlord Des just raised her rent, and even in her dreams, Mia wouldn’t be able to afford it.

Not that she’d want to dream of Des. Ever.

To make matters worse, Des is big, grumpy, and apparently his heart is made of granite. He’s not willing to meet Mia in any sort of middle.

Suffice it to say, Mia’s forties aren’t off to a good start.

Until.

A blind date turns to disaster, because that funny, charming guy she’s been talking to?

Yeah. That’s Des. And he has a proposition for her…

One little fake date–a cheeky weekend away to go to his family reunion–and Mia’s rent troubles will disappear.

But as she gets to know Des, feelings start to grow. Could something fake turn real–or is true love just a fantasy?©2022 Lilian Monroe (P)2022 W. F. Howes Ltd Contemporary Contemporary Romance Romance Romantic Comedy Comedy Heartfelt Funny Single Parent Dream

Just loved this one. Listened to a few in this “Dirty little….” series now and they’re all amazingly written and performed. I just love Lilian Monroe’s writing and plot/character developments and she’s truly created some amazing characters here. Their backstory and the way the MFC’s temper speaks to the MMC’s emotional abandonment issues and complements them is some gorgeous storytelling. And the narration..? *chefs kiss 😚 absolutely recommend.

Adorably sweet

Great end to this series of midlife, new start romances. Full of friendship female support, and fresh starts, shows how youthful baggage impacts the charachters now in their 40s, often no less stupidly emotional than teenagers or 20 somethings. Nice happy endings too.

lovely midlife romance

Good story ,great narrator and really enjoyed it but I almost stopped listening because Mia's character really got on my nerves at times!! Apart from that it's a nice sweet listen.👍🏼

I want a Des !! 😍

Mia isn't likeable; she's rude, easily angered, and very aggressive. Why would Des want anything to do with her? Mia makes lots of assumptions about Des. She's rude and comes across as spoilt. Des should run a mile. Her language reminds me of a ladette.

Mia needs anger management
