Summary

"Seriously, if you love Jurassic Park and YA novels, you need to check this one out!" (Rabid Readers Book Blog)

The Rift.

A gateway to a prehistoric world.

For years, SauraCorps has kept its existence confidential while touting themselves as a run-of-the-mill dinosaur museum.

For two Utah teens, Kamren and Vivienne, a care-free night to themselves quickly turns into a daunting trek through an exotic, unfamiliar time.

Not only do they stumble upon SauraCorps’ nefarious agenda, they also encounter major discrepancies concerning the past that would rewrite history books as we know them.

Kam and Viv’s reliance on each other through the primeval environment also tests their friendship in unexpected ways.

Will they survive and make it home…together?

Note: Dino-Rift is set in the same universe as Derek Borne's The Ultimate Agent series.

"Not only was this book entertaining, it was also a learning experience." (The Magic of Books Blog)

Yes please!!!

The novel itself is thoroughly enjoyable! Isabella Tugman’s narration adds a delightful and humorous level beyond the page. The character voices and commitment to the onomatopoeias are a hoot! I definitely need more from the author and narrator.

Who doesn't love a Dino book!

I really enjoyed this YA time travel story that fans of Jurassic Park will love. Teenagers Viv & Kam want to see the dinosaur museum at night but they end up getting thrown through a dimensional rift by an unscrupulous business man and end up in a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth. This story is a great mix of time travel, adventure, shady people, loyalty, action and a hint of romance. I loved the authors take on the nature of dinosaurs and the characteristics he gave them came through well in both the writing and the narration. The narrator did a good job of giving individual voices to all the characters and bringing out the humour, tension and teen angst in the story. I enjoyed how the characters had dimension and that they developed as the story progressed. This book is a well written, enjoyable read.

A roaring good time.

I absolutely loved this story. The narrator did an amazing job bringing the people and dinosaurs or the story to life. Each character and Dino felt unique and like an individual. The way this story was written had been laughing and I felt light hearted after listening to it. If you need a pallet cleanser after reading something that is heavy in it’s nature this book will be perfect. Enjoy a blast from the past with unique ideas and comedy.

Awful Performance

Is the narrator actually a human being? It sounds like it is a not-quite-right machine reader. It is not listenable. I am returning it!
