Summary

Dilly is devastated: with her husband unable to work and four children already at home, they cannot afford to feed their newborn baby. Heartbroken, she delivers her baby girl to the Farthing family, who have just lost their own daughter to measles.

This act of desperation will change the lives of both families irrevocably. But when the chance for true love finally comes, will Dilly choose family over her own happiness?

Quite enjoyed the story but I thought the ending was quite sad I thought it would have worked out better

I really enjoyed this book

this book is really good, my only gripe is that the narrator puts a lot of emphasis on the word AND, & there is some lot of them. I think it would have been better for a brief gap whilst telling the story. but it is only a minor annoyance

Gripping

Excellent story line was drawn in by the characters, you can laugh, cry and empathize with the hardship of the time it was set.

Dilly's Sacrifice

A lovely story again by Rosie Goodwin narratored by Charlie Sanderson. The only thing I can say about this book is it ends suddenly I was a little taken back when all of a sudden it finished, I had read the reviews and someone had mentioned this never or less it still creep up on me.
I'm therefore looking forward to the second book in this series so I can find out about the next chapter of all these characters lives.
