Summary

Gregor Samsa, seit einigen Jahren Handlungsreisender für ein Tuchunternehmen, ist seit des Vaters Bankrott für den Unterhalt seiner Eltern sowie seiner Schwester Grete verantwortlich. Als er eines Morgens - zu spät für den Frühzug übrigens - erwacht, findet er sich in einen großen Käfer verwandelt. In seiner Panik kann er zunächst keine klaren Gedanken hinsichtlich seiner Zukunft machen - als erstes muß er aus diesem Bett heraus. Keine leichte Aufgabe für einen Käfer, der auf dem Rücken liegt...

Die Verwandlung ist eine surreale Erzählung voller Symbole und Gleichnisse. Es ist verblüffend, wie detailliert, ideenreich und realistisch Franz Kafka die absurde Welt des in einen Käfer verwandelten Handelsreisenden beschreibt und dabei eine unverwechselbare tragikomische Atmosphäre erzeugt.

Einfach toll
