Overwhelming

This book might be overwhelming. Having walked through intensive DBT and worked with a coach for a couple years, though, I have found this book to be invaluable to my continued recovery.

Useful audio

Just started listening, it's very well explained and a good followup of other works I've learned from as family members pursue skills training.

Teach good

This book looks thorough and well done, however it's obviously explained for therapists and those running DBT groups. It tells the listneer exercises to use during groups and sessions and how to deal with clients in various situations

Get it and enjoy

As a therapist that uses DBT daily I feel the second edition of this book it is great of course I still use the first edition. For seasoned and new therapist who likes to implement DBT as a modality in your practice either private or in an agency this is the book that spell it easy with no headaches.

Works best

The latter targets the psychological facets of behavior versus Cognitive Behavior Therapy the focuses on negative thinking patterns.
