It wasn't supposed to end this way. In a flash of steel, a flurry of gunshots, a chorus of strangled moans blending with the wails of sirens, certainly. A properly dramatic ending, with a good body count, a dash of treachery, absolutely.

But not with Dexter, serial killer and forensic blood spatter analyst, horribly wronged and unjustly accused of the wrong murder, languishing inside the Guilford Knight Correctional Centre, bound and restrained, getting one hour's exercise a day.

Can you correct a prolific serial killer? Would anyone want a monster rehabilitated? Is this really how it will end for Dexter...?

I have enjoyed all the Dexter series, but this one for me was a little weak on the story line. narrator again is brilliant.

average compared to the rest

I have loved each and every Dexter book. Lindsay has nailed it with this finale. A perfect, permanent, passing for Dexter.

Must have been tough but Lindsay nailed it.

Mostly listen over quite a while on my Amazon Dot.. However, the more I heard the more I wanted to. Good story although Dex's dark passenger didn't appear much and it wasn't up to his normal gory best.

What did you like best about Dexter Is Dead? What did you like least?

Love Dexter but not a fan of authors reading their own books -

Just not the same standard of narration we get from professional readers..

How could the performance have been better?
