Summary

Ian Pierce is the chef and part owner of the hottest restaurant in Cincinnati. His chosen family is full of happy relationships, and the scruffy, snarky cop who has been haunting his dreams is one step closer to being in his bed. But everything comes crashing down when the past he narrowly escaped nine years ago comes to a deadly head.

Hollis Banner was enamored of Ian at first sight. He’s kept his distance, knowing the gorgeous, self-confident man is out of his league. Yet, there’s no standing aside when Boris Jagger escapes a raid. Jagger's world has been nearly destroyed, and this time, the crime boss is coming after Ian and his friends personally.

Hollis will do whatever it takes to keep Ian safe as they escape to a safe house with a couple of Ian's overprotective friends. And Ian finds himself in a race to unlock painful memories - memories containing information that could take down the very last of Jagger's illegal operations forever.

Trigger warning: Flashbacks to abuse could be possible triggers for some.

🎧Kenneth's Audioslaves Reviewer🎧

Devour (Unbreakable Bonds Series Book 4) by Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott. This story was well written with good character development. This was a great listen. I can't wait to listen to the next book.
The Narrator Kenneth Obi did a fantastic job bringing these characters and story to life.

Fantastic Gripping Plot

The fourth book in the fantastic unbreakable bond series. It culminates the over arching plot in a gripping fast paced story. Ian has such strength and vulnerability, fighting to overcome his past demons. It is a beautiful romance which has been long in coming to fruition.

The narration is fantastic, Ken has the ability to give each character a distinct voice making it so easy to follow. I love Ken's mellow tones which is so smooth and easy to listen to.

I highly recommend this audio book and all of the books in the series

as great as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

a great conclusion

this was a great conclusion to an overall plot the first 4 books in this series has set out. I can't wait to see what other trouble the four will find themselves in as they live their lives.

Ian’s Happy Ever After ❤️

At last we get Ian’s story and it’s well worth the wait.
This series has been one of the best I’ve listened to in a long while and I love the dynamics between the characters and the storyline that runs throughout the four books.
Kenneth Obi’s narration has been spot on and he has become one of my go to narrators since being introduced to him through the authors. I hope he continues to narrate for them.

heartbreaking story

I loved reading this story and the audio is as good if not better.

This is very hard to listen to at times as we discover more of Ian's past, but it is so good.

I love both Hollis and Ian, they are so good together and for each other.
the story that started in the previous books winds down in this one.

It is full of action, sweetness, love and heat.

Kenneth Obi was amazing doing all the different voices and making this story feel real

Another fantastic book in the series

I've really enjoyed all of this series. This finds family are so lovely to be around and Ian has always been my favourite, so I loved seeing him get his HEA. Once again, everyone's story line moved on. The plot was exciting and kept me in the edge of my seat.
Kenneth Obi did a fantastic job and was truly menacing. I'm kinda scared of him now 😂. He's such a great narrator and I love his take on these characters.

A wild ride

Drake and Elliott’s 4th book in the Unbreakable Bonds series ties many loose ends together. It is gripping and engaging. Obi has done a masterful job of making these fascinating characters jump to life. He also was able to draw deep emotional ranges. Truly a masterful narration.

Loved it!

Unbreakable Bonds series is one of my all time favourites. I could tell you about the story but you can read the blurb. You need to read/listen to the previous books to get the most out of the story.

Kenneth does an amazing job with the narration. His voices are distinct and he really captures the story so well. He manages to keep all the characters distinct - he does Rowe so well (although my fav has to be Snow!)

Great story and read super well!
