Michael Devlin returns to Ireland for his brother Thomas's funeral, to find that he is even more of an outsider than he imagined.
Curiosity about the life and death of his brother leads Michael to unearth a history shrouded in secrets and lies, and results in an unwanted dilemma for him. Love, regret, revenge, and murder conspire to test his ideals.

Love is an emotion that is never simple and although the sheer complexity of it excites and intrigues us, mystifies , and delights us, love can hurt like nothing else. The Devlin family have known this truth more than most.

A captivating novel that weaves together love, regret, revenge, and murder set against the backdrop of Ireland. Devlin’s Dilemma masterfully describes the Irish landscape and its characters, drawing readers into a world where individual stories intertwine. The unpredictability of the outcomes keeps the reader engaged, allowing the book to lead us through its twists and turns without the usual feeling of having guessed the ending. It’s a refreshing experience, akin to saying goodbye to newfound friends found within .Brilliantly narrated by Beau Thomas, Pat McQueen’s craftsmanship shines through, making this novel a memorable addition to the literary landscape. If you’re intrigued by family secrets, atmospheric settings, and characters who linger in your thoughts long after you’ve closed the book, I highly recommend.

Beautifully written with wonderful believable storyline and characters. Had me hooked and guessing right to the end. I’ve listened to about 100 audio books and this rates highly with the ones that were very good. I’m very particular about audio books, you have to like the narrator’s voice, otherwise it’s a non-starter for me. The narrator had a warm Irish dialect and was particularly good. A great book!

This is very well written, a whodunnit that keeps you guessing right until the end. Superb narration.
