Despite the Devil

Devil
Samantha Novak did a wonderful job, of narration.
A great listen. This book is full action.
Stephanie and Andrew were absolutely incredible together, liked the romance that blossomed between them.

Increadible!
Incredibly awesome story from Shawna James. Not sure, why I didn't get a recommendation of her book earlier, but I am glad that I finally got this recommendation, and choose to listen this incredible audiobook. I will not go much into the details, but I will just say that this one of the best audiobook I ever listened on audible.

This is unusual listen
I don't normally leave reviews due to having a hard time typing but this book I simply had to. This book kept me so captivated that I didn't want to put it down. I normally skip over where an author describes a place or person because I use my own imagination instead. Not with this one though. I had to feel the book from her perspective. I was so enthralled with this book and lost in the scenes that I had to make myself put it down to even go to release my bladder or make dinner for my family. I even had a hard time going to bed because I wanted to know what happened next even though I didn't want the book to end. I wish I could give more stars to this amazing author and look forward to many more books to come.

What a great start to a new series! I enjoyed listening this audio book. The characters are engaging and amazing the connection is undeniable throughout the book. The storyline flowed easily throughout the whole book.

This was an unusual story for me, and I liked that. Two people who truly love each who go through the ups and downs of life together and crazy exes. I am definitely a fan of Shawna James now.

Enjoyed this story!
It was a book that keeps listeners wondering what was going to happen next. It kept you in suspense in parts. I could not stop listening this audio book. This is a truly wonderfully woven tale. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to future books by Shawna James.

I really enjoyed listening this audio book
I really enjoyed listening this audio book. It had a great storyline; the characters in the story reeled me in, and kept me interested. I found myself completely intrigued and transfixed by it all. I can't wait for more of these books from the author Shawna James.
Easy listen, the anticipation that makes a romantic novel, liked the build of excitement between the two characters.

One of the easiest 5/5 ratings I’ve ever given
This is one of the easiest 5/5 ratings I’ve ever given. I loved everything about this book. The story was wonderful, both of the main characters were amazing, even the side characters were all so well developed and such a joy to listen about.
I don’t know if I’ve ever related to a character in a book as much as I related to Stephanie. Everything she felt and what she went through all just felt so relatable, that I cried multiple times just because I felt understood, in such an incredible way. And Andrew was such a great character as well. The development they both go through in this book is exactly what I like to listen about. They grew so much individually, which made them stronger together.

The story starts with Stephanie, an elementary school teacher and her friend Maya gushing over handsome Andrew who is also a teacher in the same school, both of them are single, and do not miss a chance to admire Andrew. Soon, Stephanie and Andrew starts to talk, and Stephanie comes to know about Andrew's past, and how his past life haunts him.
This is a story of how Stephanie and Andrew manages their relationship despite all the ups and down, and stay strong.
The second part is available as kindle currently, waiting for it to come out as audio book as well.

Awesome!
Only sometimes is that we came across a book that keep us thinking what is going to happen next and how the story will progress further, this was one of those audio book. The story starts simple with Stephanie and Maya having conversations about Gym and Andrew, the knight in the shinning armor and soon goes into several directions which makes listeners get so much involved in the story. Listeners feel for both Andrew and Stephanie and want them to work out everything and vouch for them.
I am not sure if Shawna James have written any book prior to this one, I am not sure if this is her first book or not, but I will say that she has impressed me with her writing. If this is her first book then kudos to her for writing such an awesome book, and if this is not her first work then I would definitely like to see her previous works as well. This audio book was like a cool breeze after listening to several audiobooks that claim to be women's romance books but are something else entirely.

Clean romance audio book
When I search for romance books on audible, I usually just come across erotica’s or dark romance books, which I tend to not like at all. I only like clean romance books which have some suspense and elements of friendship and feelings. This audiobook by Shawna James is just what I look for in a romance book.
Talking about the story, this is a story of Stephanie who works as a teacher in a school with Mr. Perfect Andrew and gushes over him whenever they interact. Her dreams come true when Andrew also falls for her, and everything starts to go well between them, but suddenly things start to change when they start to live together in Europe.
Those who like to listen or read clean romance audio books or series may find this audio book to be worth it listen for their monthly credit, and also the fans of the couple romance genre may find this book to be a good listen.
Also, I would like to see how the story progresses into the next part and how does Stephanie manages everything.
