Die teils mythisch, teils ironisch distanzierte vorgetragene Erzählung, die Gotthilf Heinrich Schuberts "Ansichten von der Nachtseite der Naturwissenschaft" nachempfunden ist, kommt der Forderung des Autors entgegen, das Wunderbare in die reale Welt zu holen.
