Evil doesn't exist. Neither does "good". Vampires do, though. I just happen to be one. I've cruised through the centuries managing to avoid all the wars, supernatural and human, but still going to all the best parties. I would say I avoided bloodshed, but it's kind of part of the whole "vampire" thing. I've lived on the fringes of a society that considered cruelty and sadism favorable character traits for almost 500 years. Now, I'm in the middle of a war that might just put my non-beating heart in a lot of danger.

American narration such a turn off
- By Simon Corke on 22-04-20
Summary
They say everyone has their inner demons, but in my case, I really do. Two hundred years ago, my mother summoned my inner monster. Since then, other than making me immortal, my demon has been trying to teach me murder, irresponsible lust, bloodthirsty violence, and the joys of total mayhem.
Meanwhile, I’m trying to instill in him the best of human characteristics: compassion, understanding, moderation - you get the idea.
Having an inner demon has made relationship issues challenging. Just ask my on again, off again hottie, the Beast Lord.
I’m trying really, really hard to be good for my demon’s sake. It’s not my fault I keep accidentally killing people.

Interesting listen
I like the different take on a PNR. I wanted to enjoy it more, but I found that I kept focusing on mispronounced words. Also, there was a bit too much summarizing throughout for me. Overall, it was good story and hopefully the next in the series is better.

Thrilling Ride
Wow Jan's journey is a thrilling ride. This is book 2 - I did not read book 1 and felt as if I understood everything, although since I liked it so much I do want to go and read book 1 now. There was plenty of action and heated sex scenes but that did not overtake the story. The characters are well written and likeable. The narrator is one of my favorites and I am always eager to listen when she narrates, Her recordings are great quality with perfect pacing and character voices that are easy to understnd and distinguishable. I look forward to more from this author and narrator,

Just As Good...
Just as good as the first book. I am honestly shocked at the lack of reviews.
Sarah Puckett does a wonderful job narrating. She uses different voices to differentiate between characters which always helps make a good audiobook.
There's a lot of action happening in this book and we get to explore Jan's relationship with her vampire more than in the first book. We learn a lot more about him and see as his personality comes out. It's really enjoyable to listen to. And the Beast Lord, Good Gravy!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Need I say more! I loved both books and I'll say it again....
HIDDEN GEMS ARE SO GREAT!👍
The cat 🐱 and I recommend this series. And, you know she is picky and always right. ;)
*I would recommend listening to the books in series order to understand the full impact of all relationships.

I'm in love with this series
This is definitely a series that needs to be listened to in order, this book won't make sense without reading book one first.
I love it when the second book in a series isn't a 'filler' book, and this one definitely isn't. I enjoyed this book more than the first book.
I did not like the Stafford in this book however, he needed a good kick up the arse for most of the book.
Poor Jan's life goes from worse to weirder in a cycle throughout the book and Stafford makes it so much harder than it needed to be.
Even for a fantasy book this book is very fantastical. I was very impressed with the world building and the character development. I can't wait for book three.
The narration is excellent, the character voices are distinct and there's lots of characters and the overall delivery did a fabulous job of conveying emotion and tension.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Loving this series
Nikki's talented writing keeps this series moving and the reader totally engaged. Her descriptions of the paranormals are spot on; Jan's character is totally lovable. I'm on to book 3, but I don't want the characters to end. Keep going w/ this series Nikki!

Never a dull moment
Once again Nikki Sex has created a paranormal story filled with suspense, evil and good characters, sometimes feelings of complete hopelessness, intense fights, friendship, gore, realizations of the really evil villains, and knowing whom your true friends are even though they come from very different backgrounds. Every time Jan seemed to be headed for a happy ending something else would go wrong. Even at the end of this book, you can't help but think that something is going to happen to threaten her happiness. The narrator did a very good job of bringing the ordeals these characters faced to life. It would have helped to let the reader know what character was speaking at the beginning of each chapter. There were a few times it was a little confusing. I asked to receive this Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. If you like an action packed paranormal story, you will love this Audible book.

Could not finish.
I somehow trudged through the first book in this series but finished other books along the way because I kept losing interest in the story. In addition to the narrator being less than stellar (pops her “p”s, sounds monotone but whiny, and frequently mispronounces words), in the first book I was not pleased with the “fixing” of an individual with Down syndrome making them become “perfect.” Also, I believe this was perhaps supposed to be in specific reference to being bitten by a vampire but, I could not believe it when I heard the line that was something like “they say when you’re about to be raped the best thing to do is lie back and enjoy it.” Are you f’ing kidding me? Despite all of that the story was just slightly intriguing enough for me to try this second book. But I just can’t. The writing isn’t good enough and the narrator just makes it all the worse.

What a storyline
Second book in the Demon Blessed Series, Demon Lost is complex. Janice St. John try’s to navigate her life through the many pitfalls that ensnare her while she diversely try’s to untangle them to escape and find reality, but can she find a reprieve? Cliffhanger in the way, hopefully Demon Dreams has the answers.
Sarah Puckett narrates this multifaceted story.
