Carter & Finn

I really enjoyed this story right from the very beginning. Carter and Finn are wonderful characters. They butt heads right from the start but the chemistry between them is off the charts. I really like watching their relationship progress as each one slowly gives in to their feelings for the other. Carter is incredibly forgiving of Finn especially after the tragedy they suffered. The narrator did a great job with the characters and with the story itself. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

An enjoyable listen to a great workplace romance

I loved this story when I read it and enjoyed it just as much listening to Corey's narration. This is the first time I've had Corey narrate a story and he was really engaging with an easy flow to his speech. Characters were given their own voices and it was easy to tell who was who. I felt just as frustrated with the alpha, Finn, this time round and was rooting for the omega, Carter. There's a lot going on with their yo yo interactions, incidents in the hospitals and other friendships that the men have. The story itself is interesting and Corey does well bringing it to life.
I recommend giving this one a listen and am looking forward to book 2.

A Winner!

This is a great story of opposites being exactly what the other needed. There is a lot of angst and misunderstanding here. Carter and Finn each have work to do on themselves. While the process isn't easy it works torwards a better understanding and knowledge of each other. I really enjoyed listening to Corey H. Bennson on this audiobook. He added depth to an already great story.

good series

I love how this series is starting out. The chemistry between the main characters helps drive the story along. And they tackle the hard issues, not many authors can write about pregnancy loss as well as in this book.

Difference of opinions

This is a good story of what happens when a doctor that cares for his patients has to fight the new hospital CEO when he tries cutting costs. Carter Idoni is a well-respected doctor that could be working anywhere but wants to stay at Silver Oak. Finn Riley is trying to prove something to his mentor and his parents as he takes over as CEO at Silver Oak and has to work on integrating it into the corporation.

When their hormones get in the way, Finn recommends hooking up to work it out of their system. Of course, nothing really goes to plan. After pregnancy and miscarriage, it takes a while for them to get back to normal, but they finally get past it. Add in an ex-boyfriend, a new job offer, and a few media-worthy events, there's quite a bit going on.

This is my first audiobook by Corey and he did a really good job. It was easy to distinguish between the characters and he did a good job of voicing the frequent arguments.

Overall good story

This was a really long audio listen, and while I really enjoyed it, the beginning dragged on a bit for me. I get that the author was trying to get us to really get a feel for who Finn and Carter were as people, but most of the first half I just hated Finn. He was such an arrogant jerk, and I couldn't see anything really redeeming about him. After a long while, Finn finally got a bit of a clue and started to act more human. Unfortunately, it took some time of poor Carter feeling like he had no choice to fall for Finn's charms, and he really struggled with acknowledging he was worth more than he felt. I loved the resolution and was glad to see Paul and Carter finally become friends. Overall, I thought the beginning was too frustrating and long, Carter was adorable and I loved him, Finn got better after a while and I ended up liking him after almost hating him. The narrator did a great job. Solid 4 stars.
