  • Summary

  • On 8 March 2014, a Boeing 777 travelling from Malaysia to Beijing with 239 people onboard disappeared. Despite the most expensive and expansive search in human history, it has never been found.

Was it one of the largest ever acts of mass murder, a hijacking that went wrong, or was it something less sinister like technical failure? Aviation experts have no answers. Politicians have no easy solutions. Families have no bodies to bury.

This Audible Original podcast is co-presented by journalist and broadcaster Jana Wendt and Peter Waring a former Australian naval officer who worked on the search. It re-examines the evidence and tells the inside story of those whose lives have been consumed by aviation’s most perplexing mystery.

The best look at what happened to MH370

A brilliant and compassionate look at the disappearance of MH370 and the subsequent search.

The hosts explore all the events surrounding the disappearance and the search but never lose sight of the victims and their families, putting their stories at the forefront of their investigation into what happened to MH370.

Highly recommended!

Utterly captivating story, brilliantly told

While this is a a comprehensive overview of the mystery surrounding MH370, it also never forgets the human element and the ongoing suffering of bereaved families. It's also a fascinating insight into the processes and politics behind the international search effort for the plane. Would absolutely recommend!

Very interesting

I couldn’t stop listening to this… in particular, the last chapter refers to a theory put forward by a Boeing pilot….. compelling listening and utterly tragic… those poor souls

Sensitive but powerful treatment

A textbook example of how to deal with a sensitive subject, but still making it compelling listening. A Podcast with brain and heart. Which is a rare combination.

Captivating podcasts

The disappearance of MH370 is dealt with sensitively and with respect to the victims and their families, but also presented intelligently to be captivating to the audience. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the episodes, even though 'enjoy' doesn't seem like the right word for such a tragedy.

Enlightening

This is definitely worth a listen for anyone intrigued by the missing MH370. I have to agree with the conclusion reached in the last episode. It seems the most plausible. Look up the coordinates, it really brings it home.
