About this listen

The chilling tale of the undead in a galaxy far, far away.

“This is the Star Wars of every horror fan’s dreams—gory, funny, and brimming with a blood-spattered cast of swashbucklers and space-zombies.”—Seth Grahame-Smith, author of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

When the Imperial prison barge Purge—temporary home to five hundred of the galaxy’s most ruthless killers, Rebels, scoundrels, and thieves—breaks down in a distant part of space, its only hope appears to lie with a Star Destroyer found drifting and seemingly abandoned. But when a boarding party from the Purge is sent to scavenge for parts, only half of them come back—bringing with them a horrific disease so lethal that within hours, nearly all aboard the Purge die in ways too hideous to imagine.

And death is only the beginning.

The Purge’s half-dozen survivors will do whatever it takes to stay alive. But nothing can prepare them for what lies waiting aboard the Star Destroyer. For the dead are rising: soulless, unstoppable, and unspeakably hungry.©2009 Joe Schreiber; (P)2009 Random House

This is outstanding display of how good audio books can be, get it now you won't regret it!

This is the single best book I have listed to on any platform, I went into this not really expecting much in terms of originality and producing and while it could be argued that to a non Star wars fan the story is slightly weak the fact that so much work has been put into all of the sound effects and the excellent voice work brings it all together into a thrilling package that I enjoyed every minute of.

Great story and excellent production quality

Death Troopers: Star Wars Legends is a story set within the universe we know of a galaxy far far away. It starts off slowly introducing us to several new characters but builds up to a thrill-a-minute adventure. We also get the treat of having two familiar scoundrels to aid us along the way.

I liked that this story was different to other Star Wars stories, the horror element works very well within Star Wars and gives it a more mature feeling to it which I’d like to experience more of.

What also helped this audiobook was the performance from the narrator Sean Kenin. He wasn’t annoying like some narrators are, he did different voices for each character and seemed like he very much enjoyed himself along the way. Made me really feel like I was there experiencing everything that took place

If you love Star Wars as much as I do, and would like to experience a different story outside of the films then I would recommend this for you!

Great story, with a brilliant performance
