another great book

The series continues to get better and better. This author really puts together characters that both make you smile and tear your hair out in frustration. I can not recommend this book and the rest of the series enough.

Not as good as the previous stories - sadly disconnected in style

I enjoyed listening to this series of stories until this book. The story started well like the previous two but halfway through it felt like the author had got tired of writing the characters and therefore the narrative became broken up with different styles and 'publisher' interjections. I stuck with it in the hope that it got better but it bounced from one twist to the next, with the author seeming to have so little interest in each one and moving on quickly. A real disappointment.

March.

Which character – as performed by Emma Gregory – was your favourite?

March.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did!

Any additional comments?

This is such a good series, very different. It's easy to suspend disbelief and get caught up in the unlikely characters and events.

Enable read

I did not realise this was the third book in the series but it was a story complete on its own. A qwerty mystery and quite entertaining if a little gruesome in places

Conan Doyle with a sense of humour!

Where does Death Descends on Saturn Villa rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Its a good one -lots of action, interest, a good pace, and delightfully interpreted by the reader

What was one of the most memorable moments of Death Descends on Saturn Villa?

Events from the viewpoint of Sidney Grice, very caustic but so much fun

What about Emma Gregory’s performance did you like?

All of it. All the characters were great. I probably liked her being Molly best.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Lunatics are mad

Any additional comments?

Worth a listen. I have listened to all three books available so far, they are all good, this is the best.

Great story, masterful narration!

This is the third of the Gower Street Series, equally perplexing and wonderfully narrated by Emma Gregory.

Better and better

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes great fun and clever

What other book might you compare Death Descends on Saturn Villa to, and why?

This is the third book and I look forward to more. If you love the Bryant and May series you'll love these. Crime, humour, wonderful characters and fantastic narration set in the Victorian period.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

No spoilers! But these books certainly bring the era alive.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh out load on numorous occasions. And joy these books are pure joy.

Any additional comments?

More please! A book I listened to at every occasion. I can't complement Emma Gregory enough, each character is so distinctive, male and female.

.

great to have less than perfect /beautiful protagonists. a plot full of twists and turns, one box within another...eventually dragging me in. somewhat less humour than in earlier books. would. happily.listen to further adventures of Grice and March....have they been written yet.
