A Libertine... Jeremy Greymont certainly qualifies. "Sex rough and women loose" is his credo - one he's always taken very seriously, with no deference whatsoever to the society into which he's been born. He's been perfectly content milling along through life on an existence of courtesans and fine Scotch whisky...that is until his grandfather lets him know he's out of time, and his station in life comes with duties attached. Jeremy must produce an heir - posthaste.

Romance and gentle murder mystery
- By Miss A. on 15-10-19
Summary
This is the second book in the Domestic Discipline quartet.
Eleanor Villiers, now Lady Hyde and originally a reluctant wife to Lord Edwin, has has fallen in love with her husband without the reassurance that he loves her back. It's literally the very situation she'd been desperate to avoid. Eleanor begins to try out various tactics to discover her husband's true feelings towards her, only to find she knows very little about love, and unfortunately, her antics somehow seem to constantly lead her into situations where disciplinary measures become necessary.
Meanwhile, Irene has married Eleanor's brother, Hugh Stanley, Viscount Petersham, even though she's in love with another man and has been since childhood. On their honeymoon to Hugh's estates, Irene finds her emotions becoming increasingly confused as she becomes more and more fond of her husband. Under his gentle care and approval, her true self begins to emerge, unfortunately leading to some unsafe behavior on her part which requires Hugh's immediate attention. He never wanted a rebellious wife who would need constant discipline, but he doesn't hesitate to mete it out when necessary.
The ladies struggle with their notions of love, the men struggle with the hot and cold temperaments of their wives, and all of them wonder what kind of conclusion their relationships are leading to. Can they make their marriages work?
Be warned: This audiobook contains hot scenes and seriously sexy alpha males who firmly believe in being the head of the household (as was the case during the Victorian time period).

Nice
Elanor finds herself going from unwilling bride to a wife in love. She didn't want to fall in love because she felt that her husband didn't love her. She felt that he would discard her once she produced an heir and find solace with lovers. Meanwhile, her brother marries Irene. Irene is in love with another and only marries Hugh for family duty. I read the first book of this and enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. This book and the first are steamy, but in a very elegant way. I'm quite impressed. I was expecting something entirely different. These books seem to be a stand-alone series, but I recommend reading them in order anyway. There are comments and references that are made that make more sense if read in order. The previous book placed a lot of spotlight on Elanor and Edward. I was assuming that this book would place a lot of spotlight on Hugh and Irene. I was mistaken. It seemed to split the attention between both couples evenly. It also had a little sprinkling and references of Wesley as well. Of course, there are other characters that take part in the story. These are just the ones spotlighted. S. Kitten did just as great of a job with this audiobook as she did the first one. I feel like she actually made me feel like I was part of the time era in which the story takes place. I felt like I was actually in the world and surrounded by the story and characters. It was exhilarating. I can't even explain it better than that. I believed this book and the book before it to be out of my comfort zone. However, this author made the book interesting anyways. I still think I wouldn't be interested in the genre itself. I'll attempt anyways. I am still willing to read from this author anyways. I'll make an exception for her if you will. I'll be reading the last two in the series as soon as I read them.

Throughly enjoyable
This is the second book in the series. The second one of the former rakes (Hugh-Viscount Petersham who is Eleanor’s brother) marries Irene as her dowry is a parcel of land which Hugh’s family want. Hugh is unaware that Irene loves another man and this book concentrates on their first year of marriage. This novel is set in the days when it was all to easy for society ( the ton) to judge harshly and Irene’s behaviour could have dangerous repercussions. The book also continues the story of Eleanor and Edwin’s marriage with Eleanor constantly doubting if Edwin loves her. I liked all 4 books in this series and am enjoying these audio versions very much.

Not a stand alone series.
This was the first one of this series I started to read/listen to I was instantly confused. So I had to wait until I could get the first one in the series. Once I had it I rejoiced. I love this series. I actually already had 3 and 4 as well as most of the second series yay. So I ended up listening to them one after the other. I thought I'd already reviewed these. But I was just checking and found that I'd fallen behind on my reviews. So I'm doing them now. Better late than never. At least I got the first one done right away.
The narrative brings the story to life.
This series is definitely a keeper, I'll be listening to it over and over.

Loved it!
Dealing With Discipline is the second story of the Domestic Discipline Quartet. There are actually two storylines here. One continues the story of Edwin and Eleanor, the other is about the newlyweds Hugh and Irene. I really loved it! There are quite a few very hot discipline and or spanking scenes. In the epilogue we’re introduced to the main characters of the third book, Wesley and his mother’s ward.
I liked the narrator. She has a pleasant voice and used different voices for the different characters, so it’s easy to follow.

Not As Much Story About Hugh and Irene as Expected
I listened to the audio version of this book. I do think the narrator does an excellent job with both the male and female voices. The British accent provides that extra edge that enhances the story. I am not sure I can imagine reading this instead of listening to it.
It is a continuation of Book 1, Birching His Bride. Edwin and Eleanor 's relationship continues to grow as she question his love for her. She continues to do silly things to try to prove whether or not Edwin loves her, which of course results in further discipline. This storyline was lasting much too long for me. It got to be really tiresome after a while.
There is also more time spent on Hugh and Irene's marriage and relationship. But, not as much as I expected. I thought more of the book would be devoted to Hugh and Irene. Hugh is Eleanor's brother, and one of Edwin's best friends. Irene believes she is in love with her lifelong friend, Alex, but discovers that she is falling in love with her husband, Hugh.
Alex has more of a story in this book. He is married to, but separated from, Grace. Grace is causing all sorts of scandal within the Ton, but Alex is not aware what went wrong with their marriage. Alex is becoming fast friends with Edwin, Hugh, and Wesley.
Wesley also has more of a storyline in this book. He is finally forced to become involved with his ward, Cynthia.
This is still an erotic, historical, spanking tale. If any of that offends you, don't waste your time on this series.
The book ends, not so much as a cliffhanger, but as a continuing story. Understand that if you want to have all the loose ends tied up, I am fairly certain that won't happen before book 4.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Audio version of this book received from the author.

Entertaining!
I originally got this book because I thought it was next in the Bridal Discipline series that I was currently listening to but this one apparently is a different series. I have not listened to the first book which would have been helpful but I'd say it wasn't totally necessary. This book, though, was funny and entertaining and held my attention throughout the whole book. The wives in this story certainly know how to get themselves in trouble with their husbands. S. Kitten did a great job narrating this story. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
