But what really stands out for me is the character growth that all of her men undergo throughout this book/series and the way they bond, not only with River but how they come together as a cohesive unit.
Although I am sad that this amazing story has come to an end there is a bonus epilogue available which I urge you to listen to that hints at more to come. I do hope so as I love all of the characters so much! River shows just how strong she is in this book and Cross moved me and pulled on my heartstrings at times as he faced his own inner demons. Walker even at the darkest moments was able to lift my spirits and even make me laugh. Bishop managed to overcome his past and put his future on the line for River.
When it comes to the narration of this series I can't stress enough just how good it is, the depth that the narrators bring to the characters and the shear emotion they bring to their performances kept me entranced from beginning to end, and when it comes to those spicy times let me tell you I was definitely having to take a long cool drink to cool down!
Stella Hunter was just perfect not only as River and G.G. but as all the other female characters she played. Each of the voices of her multiple characters was different and unmistakable and the feelings portrayed are so well done.
J.F. Harding's performance as Bishop brought a vulnerability to him which surprised me, whilst also letting us know just how strong he really is. He also brings to life Brett Ransom, Mcreedy and Casey.
Jason Clarke's interpretation of Cross, the grumpy older brother, River's first love and her husband is excellent, as is his performance of Bear and Dominic Vulcov.
Aaron Shedlock's sexy performance as Walker is both amusing and moving and his performance as Senior is equally as good. Walker and River were best friends, but he knew it was his brother she loved so he stood aside - now he has her and he's not letting go. All he's felt/feeling can be heard in this performance.
This is a series that from start to finish held my attention and kept me riveted, when Meg Anne and K. Loraine write something together, I just know I’m going to have to add it to my library and that I'm going to love it. So if you are looking for a well-written action-packed series peopled by interesting and unique characters that's full of intrigue, suspense, heat, palpable chemistry and spice, then the Twisted Cross Ranch series is one you need to download, I assure you, you won’t be disappointed!
Having listened to the Bonus Epilogue I really hope to return to this world!

This started right in the action, and it didn't slow down!!
The banter between all the characters just made me smile and so happy it was just soooo good!!!
Also, all the mention of characters from the previous series made me so excited and happy
everyone in this audio was so perfectly cast. Stella teamed with each of the guys is always a favourite to listen to.

I finished this mostly in one listen (stupid work getting in the way) because I was literally gripping the edge of seat the whole time. The pacing and the tension in the first half of this book is meticulous and feels like you are stuck in an episode of Taken! Dealing with the fallout of that cliffhanger our intrepid heroine River finds herself on the wrong side of the Bratva so will her three men be able to save her in time?
Oh this book is just delicious, it has everything including a sharp and punchy story that keeps you invested to the detriment of the real world responsibilities around you. (Who needs sleep). These two also manage to create characters you cannot help but care about as you see even more behind the facades of these broken men. But it is River who holds it all together. She is fierceness personified and the challenges you goes through in this book and the absolute unbreakable spirit she has - pure intoxication. Queen Stella Hunter has a lot to do with this as she is able to bring all these elements of River's personality effortlessly to the forefront. She has an innate ability to portray this indomitable fighter at the core subtly in the tone of her voice even when she is performing the most vulnerable scenes. That steel thread runs throughout in her voice. Pure raw talent!
The trio of Jason Clarke, JF Harding and Aaron Shedlock are always a wickedly decadent combination to listen to but in duet...well lets just say there is nothing like an immersive aural experience to truly understand that reverse harem appeal.
Jason Clarke's natural rugged timbre got to be showcased in many ways in this one from the broody and sarcastic Cross Jr and seamlessly transitioning to the slick and sinister rumblings of villian Dominic Volkov. Its aural whiplash at its finest but you kind of sign up to that when listening to Jason Effing Clarke.
Aaron Shedlock is...it's so hard to describe but he is MADE to play the charming, sometimes ridiculously, funny Walker and he has the ability to make you fall on the floor from laughter and also swooning all at the same time. There is some killer scene-stealing moments from him in this one adding much needed humour into the darkness. But alongside this lightness, he manages to bring out Walker's insecurities and heartfelt love for River that you can't help but be swept away by him.
JF Harding is a master of the brooding and commanding but at the same time damaged souls. It's hard to picture anyone else who could play our mysterious undercover agent with a traumatic past. He delicately balances the latent rumbling sexuality and "alpha male" vibes with the earnest and vulnerable into a delicious and unique cocktail that always has me addicted to anything he performs.
A fitting and exciting end to an interesting area of the Meg and Kim universe!!

Finally, we get to see how this twisted dark cowboy why choose romance plays out. Hold onto your stetsons, darlin’, she’s a ride!
We pick up where we left off and Cross, Walker, and Stirling are desperately trying to find River. This trilogy has some hefty triggering content so check those warnings if you are unsure. If you like all the dark and dirty then crack into it.
We get to understand more about the inner workings of Cross. He’s been so guarded up until now, but we get inside his head a little more in this one and I loved understanding why he is how he is. Walker is the light relief in this trio, with his laid-back attitude and one-liners you can’t help but fall in love with him. Stoic Stirling is torn between duty and his heart and ultimately his heart wins.
This book is full of action and suspense and delicious buildup. I don’t know how these ladies managed to write three dominant alphas who share River so well, but they totally pulled it off and it feels authentic for their characters.
This full-cast audio is a delight to the ears. Stella takes on the massive feat of voicing all the female characters. She is amazing as River, giving us urgency and passion in spades. Jason is the growly Cross, Aaron the chilled laid-back Walker, and J.F. the dependable Stirling. These guys also voice the side characters and it was really easy to know who was talking because they all used distinct voices for each one.
If you are looking for an addictive series with dark themes and compelling characters start the TWISTED CROSS RANCH trilogy today. You won’t be sorry you did.
