In the distant past, a time of magic and swordplay, there lived Harold, the mightiest lich of all, a master of arcane sciences, and a challenger of gods. After reaching the pinnacle of his power and finding it surprisingly bland, Harold waged a cataclysmic war against the gods, aiming to shatter the very system that confined him.

Then, he took a nap.

An incredibly long nap that ends with a jolt, thanks to an unwitting adventurer who trips into Harold's crypt. Blinking into the torchlight, Harold finds a world he barely recognizes. No more swords and sorcery, but a universe buzzing with cultivation, celestial sects, and far too many pretentious dialogues about the path to godhood.

Harold is no naïve cultivator. He's an ancient lich with a single ambition: to slide back into his uninterrupted eternal slumber. But the cacophony of quarreling sects and smug martial artists seems determined to keep him awake.

Undeterred, the sleep-deprived overlord is ready to confront this brave new world. After all, no aspiring deity, no grandiose sect, and certainly no self-righteous martial artist is going to rob him of his beauty sleep.

Was the story funny? Not really. The protagonist makes these wordplay jokes which even I who loves wordplay didn't find it as funny as the reviews say it is. I did however found funny the "Papa bones" one.

I found myself listening again to some chapters because it was hard to follow. As soon as I lost a bit of focus on it, the story became very boring.

There were some parts where the narration suddenly stopped mid sentence which was mildly annoying.

I liked the overall plot and the characters were very interesting.

Good listen

I loved this book. the character, jokes and the world the author created. I'm looking forward to the next installment. Also, listen all the way through, even after the prologue. it's worth it for the humour and recipe 👍

Great book.

My expectations were mediocre at best when getting this book but oh boy was I wrong. The performance and storytelling alone is top notch, not just in litrpg but in general.
I simply can’t say anything else than if you’re into the genre and have a sense of humor, this is one of the books/series you really shouldn’t overlook!

10/10 to the voice actors and their performances
10/10 for the story, characters and world building

In short, 10/10 overall from me

Simply amazing

I enjoyed the book, what it might lack in plot it more than makes up for in its characters.

SB theatre did another amazing job with the narration

PUNderful

Every character has unique voice making the identifiable, thanks to great cast.
The jokes are corny but are meant to be, yet still got a smile or giggle out if me.
The plot is kinda of cliche fantasy one but it's so well executed that hardly notice that the tropes are in there, just ramped up a lot.
Bloody good fun.

That was fun
