About this listen

One little push is all it takes . . .

Mortuary technician Cassie Raven is shocked to find the body of Bronte, a talented singer on the brink of stardom, in her fridge. The two of them were once schoolmates, although not exactly friends . . .

The police say Bronte jumped from her tenth-floor apartment, but Cassie's instincts are telling her it's murder. The death ignites a social media frenzy, and when police watchdog Phyllida Flyte is sent in to assess the handling of the case she is the only one willing to listen to Cassie.

They join forces but as Cassie delves dangerously deep into Bronte's personal history, more blood must be shed before the terrible truth is exposed.

Devoured this on release day! Absolutely love this series and Cassie’s character. Please tell me there will be a book 5?!

Binged it on release day

I have loved this series from the start and keenly awaited this new book. Quite often follow ups are glossed with recalls of all the previous stories, bulking out and not moving forward. This is lightly sprinkled to ensure that previous characters and their foibles move forward. A thoroughly good listen. Can’t wait for the next book

Relationships and the interlaced intricacies

Very good, and beautifully read, as always. I look forward to the next one in the series!

Another enjoyable Cassie Raven story

This book was recommended by the author Liz Nugent on X and having read her books I knew this wouldn't disappoint. I enjoyed that this book was more about the characters than the crime and I look forward to hearing how they develop over the next few books (of which I am hoping there will be many).

Great story

I hope there will be more books about Cassie. The potentially gruesome situations are handled in a light amusing way and provide entertaining material for true crime enthusiasts seeking something less serious. The author has created a delightfully different character in Cassie with whom the reader/listener can empathise. I would recommend that the books be listened to in sequence.

Another satisfying tale about my favourite querky characters
