Summary
AD 55. The Emperor Claudius is dead. Nero rules. His half-brother Britannicus has also laid claim to the throne. A bloody power struggle is underway.

a great read
Another thoroughly exciting book in the Cato and macro series. would recommend this to anyone who just likes a good story not necessarily historical.

One of the best yet for Scarrows, Cato & Macro duo
I have read and listened to all of the previous Eagle (Cato & Macro) books and have enjoyed all of them, some more than others naturally, this book I was totally absorbed with and found the plot and pace of the book excellent. The narration as usual by Jonathan Keeble made the book a pleasure to listen to. I look forward to the next instalment.
