Summary
Joining us at Audible Studios is prominent stage and television actor David Tennant, who has narrated The War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells for Audible Studios.
The War of the Worlds depicts the arrival of an alien vessel on Horsell Common, in Woking.
The initial genial interest in the Martians quickly turns to terror as they emerge with deadly heat rays and power beyond our control and comprehension. Their ruthless disregard for human life leaves humanity under threat of extinction. As the world crumbles, a lone man sets out across the desolate wasteland to find his wife.
We spoke to David about his expansive career so far, how he got into acting, his audiobook experience and what his upcoming plans are.

fun listen
As a die hard fan of David Tennant, I always appreciate the opportunity to hear a little about his perspectives and impressions around what he does. Truly one of the greatest actors of our time, his humble and human approach to the world around himself is both refreshing as well as interesting. The interviewer is also very good, asking questions which I myself am interested in knowing the answers to, but with enough variation as to cover a variety of topics. This has also sparked me on to wanting to explore more into subjects which I had originally discounted. Definitely a fun listen for an amazing man.

I love the way David Tennant gives life to characters. From grimy crime novels to children's fantasy series, his innate likability and astute sense of timing and rhythm make him a joy to listen to. And his interviews, both as interviewer and as interviewee, are always a delight. Kudos to Holly Newson for a lovely chat.
