Cried at the end of this story of an AMAZING LIFE

Would you listen to David Livingstone again? Why?

Yes definitely. Absolutely inspiring to listen to this story of a man so dedicated to a vision and purpose for completing God's gospel call to all nations. Probably coincides with many of my desires also.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sechele - Faithful devotion

Which scene was your favorite?

Family's plight on expeditions

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Cried at end because I was thinking of his devotion to God and how his faithful workers carried his body through harsh environments and territories, all the way back to England.

Any additional comments?

Absolutely amazing.

wonderful witness for Jesus!

David Livingstone is known for his exploration of the continent of Africa, making discoveries primarily in the southern nations. He named Victoria Falls and chartered the Zambezi River. He was passionate about abolishing the slavetrade in Africa and helped bring global awareness in the mid to late 1800's. He helped many African peoples with healthcare and healing of sickness and disease in many unreached tribes. Most of all he spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and saw many come to personal faith in Him. A heart touching true story of a man that gave his life for the people of Africa!

Great overview of his life.

This is a great overview of the life of David Livingstone. What an amazing life! What an amazing man! The production of this book is fantastic. It doesn't go into a lot of detail or in depth in a lot of areas but a great story.

Love these books!

The narrator has done several books in the series and does an outstanding job of switching between characters. He holds your attention throughout the book. That man needs a raise!

Dr. Livingstone, I presume?

That's all I ever knew about David Livingstone was that phrase. But, he was oh so much more. In one of the Benges' books a missionary states that they did not want to be a Veranda Missionary. David definitely wasn't a veranda missionary, he went as far as his health, finances and his dreams would take him and then he went further. I didn't even know that he had been married and that he had children, too. I am so glad that I got to know him better and that I learned to not be satisfied with the status quo, ever.
