Summary

If asked, 30-year-old Seth Carter could not have recounted a single moment since he'd met her that he had not loved the stubborn, self-centered, and admittedly spoiled Jenna Ranger. Even with all her faults, Jenna thinks no woman in her right mind would willing choose to spend all her free time with a man who so obviously loves his cell phone and work more than he does her.

This Narrator is TERRIBLE!!!!

Would you ever listen to anything by Donna McDonald again?

no, she is terrible!!!!! How did she get this job?

How did the narrator detract from the book?

yes, she was monotone and didn't even change her voice when different characters were speaking.

Not of the same caliber as previous 3 in the series due to reader.

Connie Ventress simply doesn't bring the depth of reading to this 4th book of the series. I miss Anne Johnstonbrowne...please bring her back!

The is story great, narrator sounds too robotic.

it's a good book, but I wish they would find a more natural sounding narrator. This one is just too robotic.

Okay story, AWFUL narration

I really 2anted to like this story, but the narrator was really awful 🤮 That was the worst part. I felt it was the worst of the series. She sounded like a "dead battery" version of Siri. I did like Seth and Jenna's story but Alan and Talia messed the entire book up!!! Overall disappointment of a book.

the performance was melotoner

I love the series of books and if this lady that read this book had started with the first couple I would have never read the series unfortunately by the time I got to this one I had to finish it. actually I should have bought this book and read it myself but my eyesight is going my advice to anyone reading the series is buy this one yourself. But this one's not as cute and funny as the others. this is the two younger people and it really doesn't have all the juicy gossip the other three ladies put into their story. other than that it's worth finishing the book I would just advise read it yourself and don't expect it to be quite as funny as the other two.

Story good, narrator irritating

The story line was enjoyable but the new narrator for this series is very irritating and spoilt the book.

Good book, terrible narration.

This was a good book but the narrator was terrible. If this series started with this narrator, I would have never made it this far. I enjoyed the first three books of this series by Donna McDonald much better. I plan on skipping anything else that the narrator, Connie Ventress reads.

Terrible New Narrator

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and this story finishes out the relationships that I've been watching through the three previous books, but it's REALLY hard to listen to enjoyably with the different narrator reading it. There is hardly any difference in her inflections for character dialogue and narration which leaves the characters sounding all the same and lifeless. Anna Johnstonbrown was an EXCELLENT narrator for these books and I wouldn't even finish listening to this book if not for wanting to find out what happens between Seth and Jenna.

Great ideas contained within

wow!! The basic human impulses are translated in such a way that you might be able to hand this book to a couple and each person would take something away to help their relationship.
Although I still love the story line and the interaction between the characters. I have enjoyed each book in this series, and feel the audiobook just adds to the whole experience.
