A reasonable overview into business data analysis and ML but very repetitive.

This is a relatively interesting audiobook with some interesting material, but both books are incredibly repetitive. I am yet to read the supplies PDF which sounds like it may be more useful. If you have a loose understanding of business intelligence but are interested in understanding more about it, data science and machine learning then this is probably a worthwhile investment. If you have a better understanding than that, I would suggest this may seem like very shallow coverage relative to what you are looking for.

Available tools and techniques

Both authors practicing data science professionals. Their audiobook outlines practical considerations, explains available tools and techniques, and shows results of many well-chosen models.

Well explained introduction

A well structured and well explained introduction to this important subject. Clear examples are used and the fundamentals reinforced in many places. Of special interest is the example proposal and evaluation in the appendix. A warning, this will really only make sense by listening the audiobook.

Appropriate for all data scientists

The audiobook is appropriate for all data scientists, regardless of background or education. The math is minimal. There are computer programs or algorithms too.

Explained incredibly well

I'm trying to learn data science, and this audiobook is explained incredibly well. It gives an overview at a level which gets you a decent technical understanding, plus it points very clearly the way to dive deeper in any particular area that you would like to explore.

Awesome explanation of concepts

We've got audiobooks that provide the technical definitions on data mining techniques, but if you want good knowledge without the itty bitty details, this is a great audiobook. I use this audiobook for the explanation of concepts in a way someone with a business can understand.

Excellent audible

I don't know if it's that I was in big need of a audiobook like this one, or is simply that the audiobook is excellent. Finally a audiobook about data science in which the use of the word 'science' is justified: questions, exploration, models, heavy testing and tuning. This is not a audiobook about technology -it barely mentions Hadoop!. Instead, it introduces the thinking and the fundamental ways to solve problems using data (and intelligence.

Mandatory audiobook

It's an excellent, even mandatory audiobook for your Data Science shelf. I am glad I bought it. It has nowhere near enough material on some areas, though, and is just missing some material that you need for DS. That's actually OK because of course no single audiobook is enough to cover everything you need to know in a field. Look how many audiobooks you may have bought just to get an undergrad degree, and I bet it was not just one audiobook.

Learned professional skill

This audiobook helps answer what the data science is about. It teaches you what kind of task and analysis you would do if you worked as a data scientist. The author emphasizes that it is rather "conceptual" than "mathematical", so it is greatly helpful to those without much math and/or statistics background. If you are into learning professional skill or knowledge, it may not be the audiobook but it is still a good audiobook to start if you need a general idea.

Mile-wide, inch deep

This is a poorly written overview of some data science buzzwords, less detailed than your average Wikipedia article on each of the topics covered. I listened till the end because I hadn’t heard some of the terms before, so maybe that’s the utility - “exposure” to some concepts.

A list of terms only

I found this unhelpful as it simply listed every term associated with Data Science in the dictionary.. there are no clear strategies!

Useless

Basically a book containing definitions of related terms, with very little actual detail. This would be useful to somebody who has no conceptual understanding of the topic.

The best audiobook I've found so far at explaining the theory of Data Science. If you are looking to get into data science. This is a great starter audiobook that will teach you the lingo and the concepts that surround data science.

Very helpful concepts!

Riley Adams, Matt Henderson provides a fair amount of background on the field of data science and follows it up with a comprehensive and practical framework to get any business started down the path of leveraging machine intelligence. The case studies at the end are very helpful in cementing the audiobook’s concepts.

Awesome Audiobook

Data Science for Business is an ideal audiobook for introducing someone to Data Science. The authors have tried to break down their knowledge into simple explanations. I am skeptical of non-technical Data Science audiobooks, but this one works well.

Simply a great practical audiobook

I have come to the conclusion that AI is just something all business people have to accept. Ai is around us all and every day. This audiobook has given me a good understanding of how data science works. it also clearly gives you reasons why it is critical to give programmers the right data and instructions to give you the information you need to make the right decisions. I also found it fairly easy to listen (considering i am not a data scientist). Simply a great practical audiobook to help you leverage your data for maximum business benefits.
