Summary

Inspektor Narracot ermittelt in einem Dorf voller Verdächtiger. Bei einer spiritistischen Sitzung zittert derTisch und es steht "Mord" darauf! Captain Trevelyan ist sonderbar, reich und eines Tages tot. Die Bewohner des verschlafenen Dörfchens Sittaford hatten alle mit ihm zu tun, fast jeder ist verdächtig. Oder war es ein Einbrecher außerhalb der Dorfgemeinschaft?

Inspektor Narracot ist sich sicher, den Mörder in Sittaford zu finden, einen Mörder mit Motiv. Doch was das Motiv war, da tappt Narracott noch im Dunkeln. Soll er doch die spiritische Sitzung nicht außer acht lassen?
