Summary
Sex and emotions: a dangerous combination. Despite the weakness in her legs and the fear of what was yet to come, she rose to meet her Master. She knew better than to hesitate when given orders. Instinctively she dropped her chin, stealing her gaze away from his eyes and letting them rest closer to his waist.
"None of that," he said, taking her hands firmly and placing them at her sides. Then he reached down and undid the button of her jeans. He unzipped them. Alex breathed in sharply, feeling herself getting instantly excited by the brush of his hand on her stomach.
Then slowly he dropped to his knees and pulled her jeans down to her ankles. Alex closed her eyes and felt his mouth kiss her stomach and hipbones. His hands softly caressed her lower back, moving downward, tracing the lines of her hips and thighs. "Spread your legs."

A fantastic sequel! Absolutely loved the first one and was very excited to see what would come next - i was NOT disappointed! Even better than the first instalment. Incredibly hot in places, all intertwined with a fantastic and interesting plot and character development. Great book!

What did you like most about Darkness Illuminated?
It was a little different from other books like this...perasonally i found this so much better than 50 shades of grey - much more interesting and much more erotic too ;)

Part two is here, hurrah!! I loved the first part so much, i have been looking forward to this for months. So excited about it i actually took a day off work to listen to it ha! Very very good, a few bits really surprised me…dont want to give away too much, but a lot of you will be shocked by the second half of the book!
My favorite series in a long long time.

What made the experience of listening to Darkness Illuminated the most enjoyable?
The twists!
Was nice to (finally) have a book with plenty of twists and turns, all unexpected. It made the book stand out so much more than other books from this genre.

A fantastic sequel in an awesome series!
What made the experience of listening to Darkness Illuminated the most enjoyable?
How many twists and turns there were, i was definitely not expecting what happened halfway through!

This series gets better and better - after part one i thought i had figured it out how it would continue, but i was definitely shocked by what happened!

AMAZING SERIES!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
YES! WAs a huge fan of the first one and i eagerly awaited this one - and i was not disappointed in the slightest! I found it a highly enjoyable listen, a perfect blend of story, sexy and intrigue. Top quality fiction.

A fantastic sequel - the first part left me so so anxious to see what happened..and i have to say what DID happen really surprised me! Was nice to finally hear something a little different in this genre. Highly recommended.

The pleasure continues...
Would you listen to Darkness Illuminated again? Why?
Yes yes YES! This is a truly fantastic follow up from Book One: Her Secret Submission. In my experience, a lot of series like this can lose steam in the second book but that certainly was NOT the case with Darkness Illuminated. This saga continued with even more passion and excitement. Alice Wright's writing is so engaging and the story line between Alex and her Master is hotter and more suspenseful than ever in this volume... This book opens with action right from the start. Tensions are running high. And just as Alex begins to feel secure in a more conventional relationship with Sir, everything turns upside down again! The sex scenes are hotter than before and the emotional connection you feel with the protagonists is incredible. What a triumph!
What other book might you compare Darkness Illuminated to, and why?
I thought that this series might end up being like 50 shades of grey and other books of that genre but actually, this was a very unique book. I think the thing that sets it apart from the rest is the quality of the writing and the level of suspense. The best part for me is knowing that I'll never be able to predict what's going to happen next!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The emotional connection with Alex and Sir is so heart wrenching, so bitter sweet. Their actions are so human in a way... they both do good things and bad things, you can love them and hate them at the same time. I was also very excited to get to see the smaller, supporting characters developed much more in this book. And the ending.... oh my gosh, the SUSPENSE!

Elliot, you are love!!
Would you consider the audio edition of Darkness Illuminated to be better than the print version?
Umm, yeah obviously I think, the seduce Amanda Hendrick added to story wouldn't be there in the print version. Loved the book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Elliot, because he was perfect in every way. Loved it
Which character – as performed by Amanda Hendricks – was your favourite?
Amanda Hendricks did an excellent job at narrating Alice Wright book. Maybe she is the reason I enjoyed this book even more, All I had to do was play the book and listen her voice calmly. She narrated the story smoothly, and her voice was easy to follow as well as pretty intimidating.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
The pleasure!!

I think this book should be featured, and marked the best seller. I Loved the plot of the story, the chemistry between Alice and Jackson, and Alice and Elliot, both were great. But of course Elliot, rule every character. His character was my favorite among all. The ending.. Waoow!! It was nothing like I imagined or what I was looking for, it was amazing, it changed the whole story. Recommended book!!
