About this listen

The thrilling conclusion to Melissa Marr's #1 New York Times bestselling Wicked Lovely series will leave readers breathless.

The Summer King is missing; the Dark Court is bleeding; and a stranger walks the streets of Huntsdale, his presence signifying the deaths of powerful fey.

Aislinn tends to the Summer Court, searching for her absent king and yearning for Seth. Torn between his new queen and his old love, Keenan works from afar to strengthen his court against the coming war. Donia longs for fiery passion even as she coolly readies the Winter Court for battle. And Seth, sworn brother of the Dark King and heir to the High Queen, is about to make a mistake that could cost his life.

Love, despair, and betrayal ignite the Faery Courts, and in the final conflict, some will win...and some will lose everything.

This is the final instalment of an excellent series about the world of fairies that live alongside the mortal world. Darkest Mercy cleverly pulls all the threads of each of the four previous books together and satisfyingly concludes each one. I have enjoyed listening to the series and found it a lot darker than anticipated considering it is aimed for the young adult category. If you enjoy a good love story with dangerous consequences then I recommend considering the Wicked Lovely series.

Fantastic finale

I have loved every one of these books and was beginning to feel a little nervous about this one as it was the final instalment in an excellent series. I needn't have worried it was outstanding all the loose ends throughout the books were cleverly tidied up no one is left dangling and you feel thoroughly satisfied with the outcome. I just hope that Melissa Marr has plenty more left in her as I have become quite a fan. The narration for this series was spot on although I did enjoy the voices by the first narrator in Wicked Lovely probably the best.

A satisfying conclusion to a superb series
