Summary

Jaxon Montgomery is a woman hunted. Trained by the Special Forces, honed by a traumatic childhood, she is a policewoman with an undisputed reputation. She meets her match when she is set up to be murdered by an enemy. Hunted on all sides, she can only turn to the mysterious stranger who seems more dangerous than any other she has ever known.

He ran with the wolves.... Materialized from the mists.... Hijacked the very heavens to his whims....

Great story, annoying voice

The narrator needs to learn to pronounce Lucian and Gregori and his nasal voice is grating. I listened because of my appreciation of the story, but it was not without effort.

another good book

mis-pronouncation of names and words is very disturbing. it takes something from the story. I think the readers should get together and learn how to say the names and differed words.

Disappointed

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. The narration wasn't very good. Lucian's name was mispronounced repeatedly.

What didn’t you like about Patrick Lawlor’s performance?

The way he pronounced Lucian's name

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Different narrator.

One if the best.

Lucian is my favorite carpathian. I always picture him as Adrian Paul of the highlander.

narrator

Love the story but the narrator killed it for me. Would love to hear story read by someone else.

Tragic yet fresh

A super tragic but tough female character. The story is fresh, but not my favorite narrator. Its read, not acted. Mr. Lawler reads like a school librarian and I fell asleep listening at least 5 times. I enjoyed the characters, but the repetition and sex scenes were as usual, over the top.

Great as always

It must be hard for the once who read the story . For my taste it takes a certain voice to bring this captivating story’s across .
A more velvet deeper voice would be nicer and a female voice .
Jackson Charakter is kinda stupid for me because she dose not get it until the end who her partner is and her new life .when only emphatic women can become life mates a empath understands - feels- knows very fast what it’s all about .
All story’s are great but this was one of my lesser favorites but that’s just my taste .

At last, Lucien!

There’s a surprising amount of humor in this story where the powerful, perfect, ancient Lucien Daratrazanoff finally finds his mate, Jaxon Montgomery. I really enjoyed how she could be bold; and how Jax would use humor when overwhelmed. Well done, Feehan! Wonderful creativity and action. And let’s not forget the sexiness! There’s an implied cameo at the end that touches on several of the previous characters...
Again, Patrick Lawlor is an excellent narrator at the top of his game.
Recommend.
