Summary

So Darius warned her when she accepted a position with his traveling troupe. And gazing mesmerized at the merciless slash of his mouth, the implacable resolve on his face, the soulless emptiness of his black eyes, Tempest was afraid to ask what it was.

She had always been different, apart from others. From the moment his arms closed around her, enveloping her in a sorcerer's spell, Darius seemed to understand her unique gifts. But did his kiss offer the love and belonging she sought, or a danger more potent than his own panthers?

Somewhere deep inside herself, Tempest realized she knew the answer. She had no choice but to accept the velvet stroke of his tongue, submit to the white-hot heat piercing her skin, welcome an erotic pleasure like no other.

Great series

Love this carpathian series. Need more books to listen too. Love the way the women take control of the over bearing men.

Dark fire

The female character in this book for on my nervous for someone to have lived in her own she seemed to have been a whiner . But the story line was okay really didn't care to much for the female character she seemed to week this book is not a favorite out of the series.

Love the book but HATE the narration

Narration was terrible and completely took away from the story. Very disappointed and a waste of money.

Super Wow

Super Wow Loved it. I'm in the process of restarting the Dark series. I'm more in love with it this time around than the first time and I didn't think that was possible.
Kaleo Griffith has a super voice and just keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Going up in flames! Sexy salvation just in time.

Trigger warning! Some scenes triggered me, so proceed with caution of you have triggers to abuse and sexual assault in a story. I enjoyed this book not just for the steamy sexy scenes, but because it is essentially a book of hope and healing. Tempest, a young woman who was neglected, alone, and abused overcame her circumstances and with the love and help of a caring woman, built a mediocre life. Darius is older than dirt, domineering, and set in his ways. He is autocratic and she defies him at every turn. Tempest (Rusty to her friends) needs a family, and Darius' troope of traveling musicians is just what she needs. She brings guidance for a fellow abuse victim, and proves that life may never be the same, but it can still be good. Kaleo Griffith did an adiquate job narrating this story.

Poor performance

The story by the author is great. However, I prefer the original narrator for this story. The person reading now changes words and mispronounce's names.

Loved Daris and Tempest

Daris protective concern are dashed, by the playfulness of Tempest ways towards the leopards at their first meeting. Which is the beginning of a Hilarious encounter that just keeps giving.

My favorite

This is my favorite. The stupidity of Rusty and Darius saving her would normally irritate me but I love how he saves her. The narrator did a great job in clarity and exuberance. I have read this book 3x and now did the audiobook. I just love it.

OMG! this means voice is killing me! ughh

loved the story and have read the series 3 times. I have started over again and decided to get the audio version of them so I can listen while I'm at work. The Narrator on this book is killing me. It's very hard to get into it with this mans voice. I really hope this is the only one he has done and I won't have to suffer thorough my beloved stories with this man.
