Summary

The man who pimped Jeff may be in prison, but Jeff is still living the nightmare, selling himself to men and relying on pills to manage. Then he meets Scott, a young American man who could easily have been where Jeff is now. Scott's friends extend a helping hand to Jeff, and he grabs it.

Leo and Thomas bring Jeff to stay with Dom Damian Barnett until they can find him someplace more long-term. Still grieving from losing his sub to cancer two years before, Damian agrees to help. But when he glimpses the extent of the damage, Damian wants to do more than offer his guestroom. Jeff is not a submissive, but Damian can see he desperately needs structure in his life. It's up to Damian to find an answer.

Has this narrator even heard a Mancunian accent?!?

I am Mancunian and was delighted to find out the book was based in my city. However, even if the story wasn't juvinial, there is no way I could forgive the absolutely atrocious attempts at a Mancunian accent. Actually, I don't even think there was any attempt. Christ knows where the accents were based on! Not impressed

Had difficulty connecting to characters

I had a great deal of difficulty connecting to the two main characters. I felt like the author was in consistent with the cadence of the plot. It was like a completely different author wrote this book as compared to the rest in the series.

This book was OK but not really the best one of the series

Being the last book in the series puts this one in a tough position. Much of it is predictable after reading the other books. The domestic discipline as opposed to BDSM in the earlier books was the only change otherwise it was the same story as most of the other books a dominant more secure older guy helps a younger guy who is in trouble to find his way through his problems and falls in love with him. It was a nice touch at the end to wrap up all the books by having all the main characters from the other books in it for a surprise wedding.

Loved Damian & Jeff's Story!!

Really Enjoyed Damian & Jeff's story! This was not your typical BDSM - Club scene book! I love how these books keep bringing back past characters and we get to watch those characters and couples grow together! This book has an event in it, that a I have been dying for since book 1 --

Great Audiobook and excellent content!

I recommend this one for fans of the series

Any additional comments?

this is not a D/s book but a Domestic Discipline book. What's the difference? The story does a much better job explaining it than I ever could, but DD doesn't involve scenes or a Master/sub relationship. Instead, the focus is on rules and consequences, on one person making decisions for both people in a relationship.
When Jeff comes to stay with Damian, he is a broken boy. If you've read book 3 about Scott and Ben, you'll remember Scott is lured to England by a prostitution ring with a fake story and picture. That picture was one of Jeff, whom Scott eventually sees on the street.
Damian and Jeff's relationship does not begin as a sexual or even a romantic one. Initially, Damian, who is 29 to Jeff's 19, is an almost paternal figure to Jeff. He serves as a keeper, a mentor.
If you haven't read any of the Collars and Cuffs book, start with book 1, as this is not a standalone book.

my least favor

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No really The story did not touch my heart or anything else for that matter.

What does Nick J. Russo bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Good narration.

Could you see Damian's Discipline being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No

Very emotional.

This was a very powerful book and filled with so many emotions that I couldn't stop listening. If you like beautiful man romance with hanky panky, hot sex, sad traumatic stories, and a show of how love can conquer many obstacles then listen to this book. Truly wonderful.😊

A little different

Damian is a born caretaker and he is in his element tying to provide stability and normalcy for Jeff. This is one of the lower steam books in the series but considering Jeff’s history there was a lot to overcome in their budding relationship. Nick did a good job with the narration like always.

An okay entry in the series

This was an interesting story, but I had a hard time buying the progression of their relationship. I think it was actually the voice used for Damian. It was so stiff upper lip-ish, I didn’t feel any emotion from him other than just basic frustration. It also made it seem like Damian was much older than Jeff, even a bigger difference than Thomas and Peter. I couldn’t see any reason for them to be attracted to one another. Reading rather than listening might have been better.

Another awesome story in the Collars&Cuffs series

What did you like best about this story?

The way the relationship between Jeff and Damian unfolds and how trust is won over time.

Any additional comments?

This book pulls away from the BDSM a little but the characters a great and story is good and really hot in some places.

Warm Fuzzies

Damian's Discipline (Collars and Cuffs #5) by K.C. Wells & Parker Williams is a perfect addition to the series. Giving Jeff an HEA gives me warm fuzzies since when we first met him in an earlier book, he didn't leave a great impression. Then connect him with the well-intentioned Damian who readers have only had glimpses of in previous books and together, they are wonderful. The narrator enhanced the story - I enjoyed it immensely.
